I mean has the NCAA accepted what we suggested as our self imposed sanctions or are we waiting for more serious allegations to hit the fan?
I don't really know enough of what went down here to have a feeling on the situation really.
As long as this doesn't taint 2019 IDGAF but if it did Id be heartbroken that's for damn sure.

The self imposed sanctions are in hopes that the NCAA will separate the football stuff from the Bball stuff.

We will see if it works. If the NCAA doesn't accept them and pushes on, I hope LSU will lift their self imposed sanctions and carry on as usual.

They aren't going to strip LSU of the championship for violations that occurred years ago, under a different AD and HC, involving a player that had long since left the team.

Can they go back and erase those games from my memory? No. Then it doesn't affect that season at all.

No allegation towards any players on the 2019 team from the OLOL stuff.

The OBJ stuff was actually pretty minor.

No. OBJ sanction cuts that off. The rest related to things that occurred while Miles was here and JPF ran OLOL Foundation.

OBJ looking like the main headline and scapegoat of the major issue with Vadel.

It may could and hopefully doesn’t, but it would still never take away the feeling i had when that clock hit 0:00 in the national championship

Let me also ask you this: Who do you think won the Heisman in 2005?

The shittiest part would be not being able to fly the flag in the stadium. Take the trophy if you want, not many people actually see it anyway but that flag is there for all to see.

The only way it affects 2019 is if we had an ineligible player. The OLOL stuff happened way before current players, and the OBJ stuff happened after season.

There’s absolutely no way, barring completely new information, that this stuff affects any on field achievements in 2018-19.

In many many cases where it is a rogue booster doing impermissible benefits without the school's participation, which is what the OBJ thing was technically, disassociation from the booster is what the NCAA requires. By attaching a portion of the 8 scholarships (4 a year) to that disassociation they will in all likelihood consider that OBJ part of the infractions closed.
