Could O Have Asked For An Extension With A Bowl Win?

Had we won the bowl game, O may have tried to angle for an extension after seeing Aranda get his 4 years $10M deal.

Now with the bowl loss, O has no leverage.

All things considered, it may be better that we lost the bowl game to keep O’s seat nice and warm.

Yep prolly lifetime contract at $10M per.

Alleva prolly has already forgotten he had to call O and his Coordinators into meeting to define who does what.

I hope that meeting wasn't really about that. Jeez what a clown show if it was. Totally unprofessional leadership if true.

He could ask, but wouldn't have earned it. This season has pretty much been holding serve. I think the Bowl win would have put the season on the plus side, but not by much. As it stands I would say we ended below where we should have.

With the numbnuts we have currently serving as our AD, you never know. Miles leveraged f'n Arkansas for God's sake, and old Joe swallowed the bait and the hook.

He lost to Troy, blown out by State, couldn’t compete with Bama or get along with his OC after apparently “hiring the best cordinator .Win or Lose that clown wasn’t getting a raise for 10-3. We just fired a man that could give us 10 wins (maybe), including a mediocre bowl.

He could ask for one. But I think even our AD realizes O is coaching LSU like he's driving a bumper car at the state fair.

Do you really think the result of the bowl game had any impact on O's leverage...or lack thereof? You give coaches extensions and raise to keep competitors from taking them from you. Who exactly should LSU be worried about potentially taking Ogeron?

O had ZERO negotiating leverage before the season. He has the same amount now. He will have the same amount after next season. LSU is the ONLY school that wants Ogeron as their HC.

Yeah, Orgeron's agent is going to be able to convince Alleva that someone else wants his services.

Alleva's stupid but not that stupid.
