Since Malik nabers could be a safety and Hampton is a big safety, and we only have 7 or so Lb.....

Hold on, I’m still loading the question. Hampton can cover out of the back field.

We will have seven cb and seven safeties.

Has this been covered already?

Think of former safeties to Lb Adrian Mayes or Eric Alexander

ETA. He did play well last year.

The way he tackles, I'm not so sure that's a good idea.

No just get another LB. They need to be doing everything they can to get Raesjon Davis back in the fold and if they can’t then hit the portal for Palaie Gaoteote who would be a plug and play starter.

He needs to move to the baseball field and stay there.

He didn’t seem like a big fan of contact for a safety. I can only imagine that as a linebacker.

Huge disappointment this past year. Part of the worst safety play I have seen in over 65 years of watching LSU football.

I don’t understand he can track a baseball that is 50 times smaller than a football. But good lord when a football is in the air he goes Ray Charles BLIND!!! .

He intentionally misses tackles to avoid physicality. He needs to focus on baseball because that’s where his future is.

Harris will actually try to lay someone out tho. He is just doesn’t know how to take angles and can get juked by a TE. Hampton doesn’t know how to take angles and is scared to hit. I think his back injury is on his mind.

Definitely was the worst season ever from our safety position. Bad angles, no clue in coverage, and just flat out missing tackles goodbye 2020 and fuk you on the way out.

Didn’t Hampton have a back injury really early in the year 2020? Not the football season but like just before baseball would have started? I wonder if that had anything to do with his play. Looked like he was gonna be a good player when he stepped in for Delpit at times late last year.

Trust me, if its true "he doesn't know how to take angles", he needs to retire from the defensive side of the ball. Taking angles is not a learned thing, its natural instinct. If you don't have it, you ain't gonna learn it.
