Wasn't Kelvin Joseph a safety at some point in his career? Or maybe he projected at safety? Could he not have been moved to safety for LSU this year? It seems he would have played a lot there.

If only he respected authority.

He'd have played a lot at either position. Sucks he felt the way he did.

I'm guessing he would've missed some games due to suspension

I don’t think he has Grant’s football IQ. He could play it, but he couldn’t set the defense.

He would’ve played a lot at corner. There was more to him leaving than playing time.

That was the plan to move him to safety, he's a natural safety, not corner.

He could've played over 80% of our defensive snaps at either corner or safety, possibly switching between both. I mean when Fulton got hurt vs Texas, the first thing that came to my head was how dumb Kelvin was for leaving. Literally anyone on a football team is one snap away from playing.

Last night with the Jets v Browns game, the Jets 3rd string Qb played most of the game because 1 was out and 2 got hurt... it was also his first NFL game to ever dress out for. Thats just how football is.

Its sad he didn't stay. I would feel so much better about this defense. But at the end of the day he didn't have the mental toughness to not smoke and also to not let the Stingley hype get to him. Wish the best to him, his on the field play is missed, but LSU will keep rollin without him and I'm sure our locker room won't suffer from his absence.

Hopefully players realize what he did.

He had a prime time opportunity to play for an injured Fulton and show what he was made of. He also has an opportunity to play for Todd Harris

He instead chose the easy way out, Hardly any competition at Kentucky

He didn’t leave because he wasn’t going to play.

Yes he would be starting right now without a doubt. With Harris out and with how Vincent has played. He was made for that hybrid corner/safety role

Yeah, Im curious what his deal was, I assumed he didn't like it here or didn't get along with the guys, or maybe the coaches.

This may sound stupid or be a stupid idea but if you put Stevens in that hybrid safety/olb role and if you keep the linebackers who have been starting in, could Queen with his speed play a safety role? I want to see that kid on the field more
