Dude was pitching fantastic, he wasn’t just getting weak grounders and keeping them off balance, he was straight mowing dudes down lol.

The placement on those pitches was as precise as I’ve seen from a pitcher in a while.

The great thing about cooper is that he’s a lefty and that dude can pitch every single game and doesn’t lose velocity or get wild.

You don’t pitch as good as ack, coop, and Hurd did without finding something in your mechanics or something. The light had to have came on with a tweak of some kind.

The level of concentration goes up when you get into post season. I expect them to continue to pitch well. If the trend continues and we get herring turned around then watch out

So far the bullpen has stepped up. Let’s see if they can continue today

I wonder if Wes Johnson has been working on development instead of drilling down on consistency. Then, as the tournament approached, he flipped to consolidating what had been developed and what we could count on.

It seems awfully coincidental that practically the whole staff was struggling, and now evryone can pitch.

Most of the pitching struggles LSU has had this year is not being able to throw strikes or more accurately not throwing the ball waist high & right down the middle of the frickin plate!

Not having a consistent zone is something you’ve always heard baseball folks complain about HOWEVER it’s not just about the UMPs consistency, its the fact that 80% of the jackasses the SEC runs out to Umpire are horrible. Their zones are very inconsistent & also extremely tight. It’s not just an LSU issue it's a pervasive issue thats clearly been seared into SEC UMPs brains. Its like the “Black” edges of the plate have disappeared intentionally.

I REALLY hope this is just an SEC Ump issue & isn't pervasive throughout the rest of College Baseball.

Heres to hoping they can continue to build off this and keep that solid performance going into the Regionals and beyond.

Encouraging, very encouraging. Hurd, Ack and Cooper all look ready to contribute this postseason.

You weren’t happy with 23 hits in two games?
14 runs
A couple homers
Travinski went 4-4 yesterday
Morgan 3-4 yesterday vs lefty

Crews is like 3-8 with a homer in the last two games.

He’s hitting better but he’s striking out more and not walking quite as much.

Hopefully we get Pearson going again . Really thought he turned the corner but I guess one bad game shouldn’t take him out of the lineup completely. I just don’t think you can hit him at 2 against a lefty.

Dugas needs to get going . He did have a hit yesterday and I think he had one the day before or against uga but besides those, he’s been lost

Cooper and Hurd both looked good. Now it is Floyd’s turn. Things may be falling in place

Cooper was hitting his spots last night. Did a better job of not leaving stuff over the middle of the plate.

The fact that cooper was getting so much swing and miss makes him really hard to score runs on , because when you do make contact on cooper, it’s usually just a weak ground ball anyway

I think lefties were getting a generous strike zone. Skenes... Not so much. That said, it was his swing and miss stuff that really impressed me. Lot of swinging Ks, especially with that high fastball.

His 2 short outings vs UGA were better than they came out on the stat sheet too. I think he's turned the corner

Crews is on a 7 game hitting streak yet people are still screaming he is in a slump.

Cooper had a stretch last year where he looked like this. I called him fat Maddox when he did.

When he is on, he is a pitch to contact guy with impeccable placement. So he strikes guys out either looking at a perfect strike or reaching for a pitch they have no business swinging at. Then otherwise has guys popping out and grounding out.

Unfortunately, when he is off, he is immensely hittable. I’m hoping he has found his groove.

While it may look like hitting has cooled to a degree, it kind of looks like pitching may be settling in. Despite the loss, not a bad outing in prep for the real goal

He got some really beneficial calls from the ump but when he can be around 92 like yesterday he is way more effective

Bullpen (+ Thatcher) has been phenomenal. At this rate, I wanna run Christian Little out there to relieve Ty today.
