We really need more out of our DH. Beau has done a good job of putting down bunts when it counts but we need the DH to have solid at bats and be able to string together hits, not be an automatic out or a major liability on the bases as well.

I would also swap Cole and Robertson to see if that helps some. I don't think Robertson is the ideal lead off at the moment

Reid is too vital in the dugout. Can't move him.

The fascination with putting Reid in the game is a funny one to me

I'm not saying he is the answer but do you think he would be way worse than the production at DH now?

Its gotta be Coomes... Reid hit .300 last year, but hasn't seen any meaningful ABs in way too long

Coomes can poke it oppo pretty well, so i would give him the nod

Coomes (or Slaughter... whoever isn't the starting 1B) will not be the DH

the loss of the starter while the other is DH'ing would bring about the loss of the DH... meaning the pitcher would have to bat

Isn't that what they said about Warren Morris in CWS in '96?!?!

Maybe he can do some on home plate after he goes yard?

his batting average last year was almost identical to Beau's this year.

Why Reid hasn't gotten a chance is mind boggling... dude was one of our most reliable hitters last year.

or...we slide someone else into 1st base and we don't worry about that?
