Shh..I’m going for a downvote record. Don’t tip them off.

Ole Miss’s defense is terrible. Bama will score 40+ points and win by 20 points.

I know it's a hypothetical, but it won't happen for one reason: recruiting.
Bama, despite being "down" this year, still thinks they're the God-given owners of the SEC West. I guarantee they fully expect to come back next year and (try to) execute a revenge tour.
The only way they have a hope of being competitive next year is to keep the REC dropping bags and 5* recruits lining up at the door like Arky fans at the Golden Corral buffet line.
If they lose this game to Ole Missy, then there's a very good chance that recruits might start second-guessing Alabama as a "first-choice, no-doubt" destination.
My guess is that Bama is going to come out with brass knuckles, hobnail boots and straight razors in their socks to try and regain SOME respectability in the west by destroying OM - if for nothing else than to keep recruits (and current players) from bolting from an apparently dying program.
If they lose three SEC games in a row (two to SECW foes), then throw in Saban's age and seeming loss of focus/energy this year and they start losing their magnetic draw on top recruits.
Just my opinion, baws. TIFWIW

If Bama wins we can drop a game and still win the west. But we still need to win out to have a remote chance at playoffs. So it really doesn’t matter what Bama does.

You've got to be from that same group of fans saying last week that LSU was ranked #10 purely to prop up Bama's upcoming win.

I don't disagree with you, but the topic was (supposedly) about Bama dropping a game to spite LSU and hurt their chances at a playoff.
Not only is it not likely, Bama is going to be out for blood to preserve the dignity(?) of their program and their hopes of returning to prominence next year.
If there was ever a starving vampire looking at a fat human meal, it's Bama looking at Ole Miss this week.
Just my two pennies....

No way Saban tells his team to go soft
Right, because he's an actual professional.
Apart from that, why do you think Nick Saban hates LSU at all, much less enough to throw a game?

Why would it make it harder? We beat an ok Ark and a dumpster fire A&M and we're in. We don't need help.

Bama will Bitchslap OM. They are backed in the corner. Pissed. Want blood after the Tigers spoiled their party! Love it. Ole Piss does not have a chance.

Bama is not mathematically eliminated. They win out and we lose out, they're in.
No way they play to lose vs OM.
