They are really good and everything is pointing in the right direction. 23-1 is unreal and not a single person would have called that.
Support these girls.
Great coaches and players learn. Geaux Tigers.

Big test and they came out tentative and wide eyed, but to their credit they rallied back to make it a game for awhile. We wore down eventually, but this will make us better.

I'd like to see that game on a neutral court.

I don't think we'd win, but I think itd be a much closer game.

For sure.

SC is just that good. We kept fighting, but SC took every punch we delivered.

Spot on again. Our foul trouble, plus SC's depth just made it that much more difficult.

Ultimately this game was meaningless, unless you only judge the season on if we win the SEC, which is dumb. This team will be better off in March because of it.

This game reminded me a lot of SEC Championship vs Georgia this past year. We’re not there yet but it’s clear that we’re coming. It’s good for Mulkey and Kelly to play the best to see in person exactly where they need to be.

I think both Mulkey and Kelly know they aren't there. shite, Mulkey basically flat out told us all week. The fact that they are both getting us to this point, this fast, is encouraging.

Yup!

Disappointed with how it ended but every program has to start somewhere when building this back up. As much as I don't like Dawn, even in her post game pressor she even said Kim was "way way way way ahead of schedule" when talking about her building the program back up into a power house, citing LSU signing the #1 transfer and signing the #1 class for 23. She basically said LSU will be there shortly and that Kim knows how to get there.

SC signed the #1 class in 2019 (with many other top classes since then) and the core class has started for four years straight and has incredible depth built on top of it which they never had at levels before. You don't get there over night. That is the byproduct of four years of recruiting and being in a system.

The ladies will be alright. This will be good for them IMO. It shows where they need to improve And actually, I think some of the weight is off their shoulder with all the "undefeated" talk going on for over a month. They were never going to go undefeated.

Of course, we are ahead of schedule. The reality is the best team we had played before this game and the only other team in the NET top 20 was Tennessee and they are No. 20. I think anyone who looked at this game realistically was not surprised by the outcome.

We are not there yet with UCONN - they have more talent and more depth of talent. Starting next year I think we close that gap fully. We have a top recruiting class coming in, and Boston is a senior.

UConn has zero depth this year (injuries). In their last game 4 starters played 39+ minutes. The game before (loss to Marquette), their bench contributed a combined 10 minutes between 3 players.

LSU can run with anyone right now except for South Carolina. I think LSU would be able to execute their game plan of points in the paint, offensive rebounds, FTs, against any other team.

I'm not convinced of that. They would have to show me against the likes of the next best up like Stanford or UCONN and quite honestly no one we've played on our schedule outside of the Lady Cocks are anywhere near even those two teams in talent.

Tennessee is the next best team we played and we really didn't look all that great at home against them. Their press really bothered us. And Tennessee is not all that great.
