Confused on Tolan entering portal…

Not only was he stealing reps from Penn at the end of the year but his future at LSU was being a starter at LB likely.
I hope he is just testing waters or if he is serious about leaving LSU does what they can to keep him here.
Need depth at LB and don’t want to lean on Weeks.

You never know what happens inside the program. Its not always about what happens on the field. He may not like the coaching staff or vice versa. Or players on the team etc. He may just not like being at LSU. Who knows.

The fact that he apparently did not travel to the bowl kind of makes me think it may have been a discipline or "alignment" issue.
Hopefully it's nothing like that.
If and when those types of cases arise, I'm thinking Kelly has to weigh talent against team culture.
