re: Concessions talk. Any news on the survey we responded to?

That Texas link should be plastered all over the AD building. Instead we have Alleva spray painting lines in open grass fields and selling them as premium tailgating spots. The parking regulations have kicked the gameday atmosphere in the nuts. Alleva needs to take his Duke arse out of here before we ever see a return to any type of glory days. It’s frustrating as a fan.

Already there. We buy drinks, but that's it. On games where we aren't tailgating, we go have some good food on the way in. Again, prime example, we will get City Pork before going to the game because we can't get it in TS anymore. Burgers at Overpass Merchant are good for pre-game too. Lots of great options and you can spend about the same or even less on food that is edible.

Completely disagree. Most people eat way better outside the stadium anyway. Forget the local flavor BS because it’s an overpriced novelty that logistically takes away from necessities (e.g. early season waters), and gives other vendors a higher selling point.
I’m not trying to intrigue my palette at a football game. I’ll take $2 shitty concession stand hotdogs all day long. We pay a lot more now for the same product.

It would be really easy to have a local flavor all over the stadium. Jambalya should be in every single concession stand. Get The Jambalaya Shoppe on board. Pulled pork nachos are in stadiums all across the country. Get City Pork and call them couchon nachos and there you go. Give some stands the ability to cook and do catfish and hush puppies/fries. Get with Pattons and do hot sausage partties on bun. Jerry Lee’s could do boudin. Hire decent people to work. It could work but it takes some thinking outside the box. Instead our dumb frick AD hired a known shitty concessions vendor. At this point I’d just be happy with not running out of water in September and nacho cheese and hot dogs that aren’t ice cold.

I slammed them for concession prices last year.
I go by myself to most games but sometimes guys I hang out with can't make it to games, and I don't want to crash other people's tailgates, so if that's the case, I'll usually try to munch on a hot dog or something like that from the concession stand. But last year, the hot dog was cool, even with it being in the aluminum foil bag, the water I got was warm and just those two things cost over $10.
I don't expect amazing food from a concession stand but it should at the very least be warm and drinks should be cold.
Bring back Chick Fil A too.

The printed results of the survey will be shredded, combined with water and sugar, and served as a frozen treat at games this year.
$9 per serving.
$9 per serving.

I was amazed last year when I realized that for some reason I couldn't get the Manda sausage poboy at my concession stand anymore. Like someone else said, it's not like I am asking for gourmet food here. Just give me options at a reasonable price

I wrote essays for each response to that survey :lol/

Concession stands couldn’t handle the demand if they had these prices. If you can’t keep a good product in the building then it doesn’t matter what price you try to sell it.
They could get great products in and sell them at the same prices right now. People would be okay with that. You could sell them for a little cheaper and demand would be higher and everyone would be happy.

Prices, while on the high side, aren't the deal breaker.
Its the HORRIBLE and RUDE service, the inability to keep enough product in stock, and the poor quality of the food in general.
They are mean or aloof, tell you they're out of popcorn and coca-cola, then sell you a cold hot dog. Its truly astonishing. I felt like I was on Candid Camera a few times.

Give the concession contract to a company that doesn't do that?
And the food would probably get even shittier

I’m sure they have a contract with Aramark. So they probably forwarded the complaints to them, and they promptly balled them up and threw it in the garbage

Exactly.
Aramark is known for being all-time levels of shitty. They were so bad for the Titans, they fired them in breach of contract because it was worth the lawsuit to have better concession services.
I wonder if there is a clause in the contract with LSU saying that if the services are sub-par, which they obviously are, that we can terminate the contract before term.

As long as the dollars come in they could serve us prison food. Which as a matter of fact they might be. My mother operates a jail and their food vendor is Aramark.

I've got it pretty down to where traffic post game isn't really an issue for me. The thing I'm not the biggest fan of is the time you have to arrive, and the hours you have to spend on campus while not having a tailgate to go to.

I'm fairly positive their concession profits are taking a dive.
Half the time they don't even have what I'm looking for and the other half of the time the line is so long because the workers are dumb so I just go back to my seat.

Probably not as much as you think. One of the primary reasons for switching to Aramark was getting a minimum guarantee of $2.4 mil a year. The previous company paid LSU a percentage of sales without any guarantee. LSU's exposure to reduced sales are negated by the guarantee. In short, they don't give a frick. They are getting paid.
The reality is concessions isn't a big money maker for anyone. LSU is a $150 mil operation with concessions making up about 2% of that. It's not going to make or break them either way, yet they are hellbent on alienating fans just to make a few more dollars.
The LSU way these days.
