This is one of the rankings that goes into the BCS that has no human component. It'll change a lot week to week this early in the season, but still kind of interesting. Colley Matrix

One of the best rankings by season end. Fun to watch how it changes from week to week, but at the end it pretty much resembles that of the other polls.

LSU, Pittsburgh and Houston are the only teams with a Top 50 win so far.

Yep, they are ranked 19th currently. Interesting thing there.

Colley, more than any other poll, is not designed to be looked at until the end of the season. It really is a very accurate measure of a team's entire SEASON, but not until all the games are played.

The Colley Matrix is my favorite poll. Unlike the other polls, he explains his method in detail and you can reproduce it and I and others have.
It is a really great read if you want to understand how computer polls work. If complicated math isn't your thing, you'll have to skip over some of it, but the Introduction alone is great.
