You know the narrative has been that LSU is a dumpster fire even though we have a top 5 recruiting class and are the defending champs, I’d imagine they’re goin to kiss O’s butt and when the interview is over they’re goin to talk their shite

This gameday sucks. They’re interviewing people who don’t think we should be playing football. What a downer - I had to turn the stupidity off.

Right - these kids are better off at home or partying on campus. It’s moronic.

Like how they mentioned Brennan as players to watch this season

Rece is the king of kissing arse to a live guest and then making petty remarks when someone is not present.

They already are - Desmond just said we're a "long shot" to make the playoffs.

They are gushing over Georgia despite the fact that they have 8 new starters on offense.

I think that is a fair assessment of Brennan. I think Brennan will be a very good QB once he gets a few games under him. However, to be honest, he hasn’t done anything yet to suggest he is anything other than “a player to watch”. I have no problem with that assessment because I think it’s true. It won’t take long to realize he’s a legit QB.

Same could be said for Burrow entering last year.

I do believe Burrow had some really good games like Miami, Georgia, UCF under his belt before the 2019 season.

I know that we have a starting line up that can go toe to toe with anyone but the reality is that we lost a ton of depth. Any injuries or covid issues and we have to hope that some guys step up that may not be ready quite yet. That is usually the difference maker for those couple of big plays that decide close games.

On the contrary, I tuned in to hear what they had to say. I think we should play and always have. Nothing they said convinced me otherwise.

Problem these days is if we hear things we do not agree with, we cancel them.

Burrow entering last year had plenty run time; Brennan has none. The difference is fairly significant. Burrow had a very serviceable season in 2018.

To be fair. If this was a full season with all teams I’d be more understanding of that sentiment for LSU.

But with the shortened season and half the teams in the country not playing I don’t buy it as much. They are acting like we are the only team dealing with Covid and a lot of starters leaving. We are one of the top five teams in the nation with the recruiting depth to replace this many guys. shite. I love Thaddeus, but we might be significantly upgraded at TE.

it was also a big deal that we practiced and played longer than any other team last year. Our new starters have experienced stuff that other teams old starters haven’t.

So are we on the level of Clemson? Prob not. But comparing us to A&M is retarded. They are acting like Mond coming back is like Lawrence coming back. And loving on Georgia when they are replacing a ton including a senior Qb as well is dumb. Kirby Smart has never even had a team without Fromm at the helm.

On defense we are going to be hard to handle cuz Pelini knows he can leave Stingley and Flott on islands and be as aggressive as he wants. We are gonna probably pass our blitz total from last year in five games.

I think if Brennan gets protection we will be very good. He doesn’t have Joes wheels.

Year in year out the barometer for success in the SEC has been who has the experienced QB's returning. Hurts and Tua kinda broke that mold but largely that has been a good trend to follow. So you have Trask and UF, Nix at Aub, Jones (a few starts) at Bama, and Mond at aTm.

So the bar is not set real high this year at QB and Brennan, while no starts, is a 4th yr RSJr. He has a chance to make a splash if he gets his legs under him pretty quickly.

I hear you. Still painful to watch an opening season gameday and have it open up with the PAC 12 commissioner telling us why they aren’t playing football. Then follow that with Desmond Howard who says he ‘wouldn’t let his kids play’. Went on and on and on.
