Because it's baseball and the better team loses games from time to time. Do you think Appy State is a better team than us? Auburn?

You don't think we playing better baseball now then when we played appy state and auburn? You will see when we knocking georgia around all weekend.

I hope so. And yes I do think we have the potential to win all 3 games. But I won't be disappointed if we only win 2/3.

You don't think LSU sweeping georgia and vandi is realistic?? Anything less than a sweep will be disappointing.

West Lafayette Regional

I know the NCAA has been trying to expand the game north & east the past 10-15 years (unsuccessfully may I add), but Purdue getting a national seed is an absolute joke.

If they do end up getting one, they should be 8, w/ the most deserving team that got jobbed paired up w/ them. I know they don't seed 9-16, but in a perfect world they would.

Yeah, I tend to agree with all of this. Purdue has an RPI of 11 and a SoS of 74.

I also agree that they just need to seed 1-16, but that would stop them from having more regionally-based super regionals, which I think is bullshite! Pairing up West Coast or East Coast teams just because of convenient travel is garbage.

Looks like their stadium has a whopping 1100 seat capacity. Wonder of they'll bid that or Indians AAA stadium in Indy (65 from W.Laffy).

Yep, guess (like everything else), it comes down to $$$. The NCAA sure had no problems sending LSU to the west coast a few years ago. Guess bc they realize we're a self-sustaining program

They are constructing/renovating their current stadium, so I think they are going to use a nearby minor league stadium for their bid.

Haha. Yeah, but I think if you look over the past few years that is probably the exception not the rule. And yeah, LSU gets the benefit of being a big program. Sometimes it works in their favor, sometimes it doesn't.

Here's an earlier tweet from Kendall Rogers:

Just put together the top eight national seeds. #LSU is out as a national seed this week (barely) … who do you think its replacement

He later tweeted that the PG field of 64 would come out around 12:30pm CDT

Will have to disagree w/ ya there Dean. See: 2011.

Hopefully LSU takes care of business down the stretch & we don't leave it up to the committee. After the past few years I don't trust them to do the right thing. Seems to me they are ROCK-HARD about sending a newbie to omaha, so something like this 1st projection seems very feasible (purdue vs NC state).

As for you guys, I'd be THRILLED to be sent to Stanford, Mark Appel notwithstanding.

Yeah, I guess so. But Fullerton just hasn't been very consistent yet this year.

Come on man... Is this your first year following college baseball

uhhh no . last time i checked we swept our last to home series so if the trend at home doesn't continue than i will be disappointed. Sure we can lose a few games on the road but at home in the alex box with the intimidator, pitching staff and the largest and best fanbase in all of college baseball we should never lose to a scrubb! I guess being mediocre the last two years has made the rant soft. I've defended myself on the rant plenty of times but i never thought i would have to do it behind a bunch of teams i know a top 5 team in almost every poll should always beat at home.
