I wouldn't pick them to beat Florida, TCU or Texas Tech.

They dont have nearly enough pitching depth to do anything. Hell you saw what our inept offense did getting a ton of hits and simply not getting anything timely.

Their offense will keep up with anyone. Their pitching wont hold down opposing offense enough though, especially when they start running into more aces.

They will go 2 and Q like most small schools that make it there

There bats will be neutralized a little bit at TD Ameritrade. I can see them winning a game or two though. Anything can happen on any given day in a baseball game. They may not blast home runs, but they showed the ability to play small ball pretty well too.

I absolutely hated #29 (the one that scored the winning run) because I couldn't stand his cocky arse attitude, but they were ballsy and it paid off against LSU.

I think that they go 1-2. First time teams in Omaha rarely go far. Also, isn't TD Ameritrade Park the place where home runs go to die?

That said...the way that this post season has gone...NOTHING would surprise me.

Not sure they're built for Omaha. Really impressive club though.

if UF wins today, they'll lose first round game and maybe win one or a couple elim games....but they don't have the depth pitching wise to make it

that cavernous park will eat up at least half their home runs

they'll hit some...but it won't be enough to win though

They may scratch a win out of the loser's bracket. But their pitching will be exposed, I think.

What would our chances have been? Better or worse than Coastal?

Better. I think LSU is better built to make a deeper run. It's hard to argue against that after watching the SEC Tournament.

You can say whatever you want, but LSU has better pitching that CC. We just did not get timely hits this weekend...it happens. Had the ball bounced our way then we would be getting ready to go to Omaha instead of Coastal. I'm sure Coastal would rather have Lange, Poche and Newman pitching for them than any pitcher they have. Newman is better than Coastal's highly touted closer.

At minimum, two of the HRs they hit vs LSU didn't carry deep into the stands, nothing like Deichmann's shot into RF stands. Bunch of long outs at TDA. The other aspects of their offense might keep them in games, though, they are very scrappy and play with a refuse to lose mindset. I agree with the limited pitching staff. When you're hot, you're hot, anything can happen.

A power team going to Omaha. Where have I seen that before? I predict a ton of fly outs to the Christian Ibarra memorial Left field warning track.
