Well we have some length and some athleticism so there are things for Wade to work with. It could be changing our sets it could be changing from perimeter ball pressure to sagging off in the man to man it could be more full court pressure to create chaos. We have a mix of youth and some older guys who no doubt developed bad habits defensively but we have athletes and there’s always a way to utilize that defensively. The question is will Wade be flexible in what he’s willing to do defensively or will he commit to playing man and take the lumps to install his style.

You have to like the extremely frank way WW addresses his team's shortcomings. It gives great hope moving forward.

I see the effort. I see the talent, quickness, and length to play defense. I also see a team that is undisciplined on defense, leading to breakdowns and wide open shots for any team willing to be patient and make the extra pass. That can be fixed.

Y’all do realize Johnny’s philosophy has to be scrubbed out of his former players memories.
Wade is trying to instill his philosophy and it will take time. Johnny’s former players weren’t taught defense. They are being taught it now. They have to break old habits to learn the proper ones.

Either you have not listened to any of Orgeron’s press conferences or you are lying. He has been painfully honest about this team. He said since the summer that they have trouble with pass protection, that this team not have a kicker, needed help in the trenches, etc.
