Coach O’s Problems
Posted on 9/16/21 at 8:52 am
Posted on 9/16/21 at 8:52 am
The first step to fixing a problem is admitting that you have a problem… He’s like a kid, tell the same lie over and over until you believe it as the truth. These problems are tremendous. But I’m sure he has a phenomenal way to fix them and make things outstanding.
So here are the problems that will cost him his job:
1. Damone Clark, no matter how much you want him to be, is not an sec talent. This guy makes watching football hard. If this guy had a lightsaber, it would be pink.
2. The o-line did not play great. It’s hard to find an offensive lineman on this team that will play in the league. Hell, it’s hard to find one that should be playing in the sec… The lack of emphasis put on o lineman in recruiting is laughable. They are not flashy and people don’t get very excited about them. But , hey, we have 13 flashy receivers on the team! Aaaand O plays Jenkins and Kirklin.
3. While we are on receivers, Palmer is a guy that I want to be good so bad, but the guy is just scared. He has the tools to be great but the lack of heart and toughness will always hold him back. Next is Jenkins. Can you have a practice squad in college? If so that should be the ceiling for this guy. While looking at the talent on the bench while this guy is in the game makes me want to drown puppies.
4. TDP is the worst “starting” running back we have had in the 21st century. He has no vision, no awareness, no elusiveness. Being from the swamps of south Louisiana, O should know what the term “cut bait” means. Ed, cut the fricking bait. You missed, now move on with the new young crop of RB’s. Don’t kill their confidence be making them play behind a guy like TDP. If I was behind him on a depth chart, I would uh….. uh…… play fricking basketball.
5. Now the big one. QB. I can’t put into words how much I wanted Max Johnson to build off of the strong finish from last year and take a leap forward. Guys, I’m sorry, but you saw the peak of Max Johnson last year. The lack of confidence and decisiveness is hurting the team. Yes! The offensive line is absolute liquid shite, but when they do hold a block for 3 or 4 seconds, the qb has to be able to make something happen. Nuss is that guy. The confidence is off the charts with this guy. He has a cannon. He’s not afraid to take chances. He is a leader. I believe the team would respond to him and feed off his energy. There will always be growing pains with a freshman qb, but at least with Nuss we can use the full playbook. After hearing about the camp scrimmages and his stats, it got me wondering, “could this guy actually be ready to play now?” And after one series the other night and seeing him in the elements, the answer is yes. He’s ready. I’ve played the position, there’s a difference between a leader and a manager. Watching him come to the line and take command was eye opening. The energy completely changed. Ed, play the best guy. Not the oldest guy, the best guy.
And one last thing, the social media pics with the super sluts is such a poor example of leadership. I feel like he is the guy crowd surfing with his shirt off at a Liquid Sand concert while his girlfriend is getting DP’d on the second floor of the sigma nu house. I gave O the benefit of the doubt last year, but after the first two games this year, he’s lost me. And I’m convinced that there is no one on the other end of his headset.

He’s a chaotic person and that’s seldom lends itself to good leadership.

I can't see Nuss sticking around and waiting for Brennan and Johnson to get out of here
He could go to A&M now and probably start

Max can’t hold off Nuss much longer. If anybody goes it’s him.

Hey cayenne, interesting to see someone on TD since 2007 like myself but with less actuals posts than me. Your 5th post of 2021 hits some key "burn" points. I too would like to see the best talent on the field more regardless of years in the program. Kiner, Bech, and Nuss were definitely exciting to watch!

I’ve said from when we were recruiting Nuss that if Johnson didn’t start this year at LSU He would never start cause Nuss is that damn good. Once Nuss starts getting consistent PT it’s going to be hard to deny who the better QB is.

You’d have to spray extra strength “terrible be gone” on Coach O for him to be better. He is an awful head coach

Cayenne, You don't know what you're talking about.
1. I'm not seeing what y'all are seeing on Clark. He looks very good to me, and I think he starts at the next level.
2. EVERY guy we played on the offensive line is a legit SEC starter as far as talent. A lot of development has to happen for the younger ones. Ingram, Deculus and Hines would start this year for at least 10 SEC teams. Center is tougher to evaluate without knowing his responsibilities on every play, so I'm not sure about that guy. Martinez, Hill and Wire all look like solid talents to me. Wire is one I have more doubts about. All of these young guys need to develop more.
3. Jaray Jenkins is a stud! He needs to solve his drops quickly, but when he does he'll be a good one.
4. TDP is not the exciting back you'd like to have back there, but he's certainly better than Brossette was (and Brossette was okay).
5. I can't say whether Nuss will be the better QB in the long run, but your statement that he is ready is laughable. There is no way Nuss is ready.

Pretty much agree with everything mentioned. LSU fans are the worst in the off-season because they feed the beast with their unrealistic expectations. A shitty team in 2020 can’t be great with the same players.

Oh man, you got me there on Brossette. Forgot about him. They are extremely similar

So much I want to say, but Ive learned it it’s futile with you people.
But this one I just can’t help myself
A true freshman 3-4th start is his peak
I swear you nerds are collectively the dumbest human beings on the face of the earth.
Truly amazing how stupid so many of you really are.

If we have folks who rarely post since 2007 getting on here to complain that's saying something
Woody take notice

Yeah, I mostly read and give well deserved upvotes and down votes as well. I usually only post when I really need to say something. I’m not a knee jerk reactor to things and I like to gives things a chance to form my own opinions. If I posted every time I disagreed with someone on here or refute someone’s asstard opinion on something they know very little about, I’d be pushing a million posts… lol. Sure there are plenty of times when I want to reply to some kid that posts something that is completely incorrect. There are plenty of times when I want to fire back with a post with logic and detail to make them feel like the ignorant fricktards they are, but that would just be way over their heads and a waste of time.

I’m really not ... he’ll either win and keep his job or lose and be gone. We can all agree on that.
And honestly I’m not a big fan of max Johnson.
I knew we were in trouble on offense when Myles went down.
But this constant burn everything and everybody narrative you morons come here daily with is old and tiring.
I’ve said it 100 times and I’ll say it again..... Who knew we had so many qualified football minds on this site.
