I read everyone talking about why places like Clemson, OSU and Bama never really suffer what we are having now and I agree. Those programs are just that, a program with proven program builders/leaders in place. The main role of a head coach at top schools is that of a CEO. O was never really cut out to be a CEO and at best, he is just a coach but I am starting to wonder just how good a coach he really is. I am afraid the problem is not just the assisstants and the problems with defections/NFL...I think the program has internal issues and O is not equipped to handle that. He was thrown into a situation over his skill level and it will take a proven head coach/CEO to correct this. O is just not in the same class as Saban, Dabbo, Urban, (even Freeze or maybe even Kiffin).

Hes a recruiter and DL coach. Thats it. The stars aligned last year (especially with Burrow). LSU will not crack six wins with O as long as he's here.

Eh I don’t think he is the long term answer but before this season he did build the program up and steadily improved. Sure he hit the jackpot on talent and assistants which helped tremendously but he did build a championship team.

Long term it’s a given he will never build an actual dynasty though
