Probably because O keeps changing his mind about what offense he wants to run. We'll be running the triple option out of a 5 receiver set by Saturday.

Wow, drawing up weak-side HB dives in the pistol formation must be taking up a lot of his time!

So he's going to be coaching on no sleep come Saturday?

Effort can't make up for lack of ability.

I honestly hate stuff like this. There's nothing noble about sleeping in your office. It's stupid, unhealthy, and worse yet, unproductive. Go home. Get some real sleep, come back refreshed the next day. This is stupid try hard stuff to impress reporters that doesn't help the program in any meaningful way.

In my experience, people who put in a ridiculous amount of hours at work are either doing it for show or hate their families. (And I mean ridiculous, not your normal working late or long hours thing).

agreemit fricking dumb to criticize him for putting in the work.

For me it is the whole, well he slept in is office, he must be doing his job. That doesn't mean quality hours were put in.

I'm glad they are busting their arse. They need to put two halves together on offense.

That's Ed's big problem. Just do your thing, don't worry about the peremiter. Show us, don't tell us. Cus most everything he's said has been a bunch of bullshite.

Thank you for that explanation. Sean Payton is big on the word "scheme." And while most of us who understand English get what the word means, generally, it's nice to get some detail on what it means in this context.

It’s as if O is trying to sell something. Just do what you need to do and let the product speak for itself.

If anything, it sort of sounds desperate. I appreciate his dedication though.

Scheme...that’s how they deflect responsibility away from players not executing....

Why? Would be 2-0 or would that just make you feel better as a fan? In both games we had a very commanding lead early in the game. Would I have like to have seen a little more against MIAMI, absolutely but against SELU we weren't going to gain anything that we cant gain in practice against better players. IRON SHARPENS IRON

I knew exactly what he was talking about. The OP referenced pistol formation. In the pistol formation if their was an H-Back in the game he’s lined up in front of the QB not behind him like a RB would be. I understand RB, TB, and HB can all be interchangeable terminology for fans but the guy is acting like Coach E is dumb. I was just pointing out if you are going to call somebody dumb you should likely get the modern terminology correct.

Aren’t the “offensive analysts” suppose to prevent sleepless nights from happening?
