He led the Tigers to a win over No. 2 Georgia! @Coach_EdOrgeron is the @DoddTrophy Coach of the Week!

LSU Football tweet

LSU Sports article

Against Georgia, LSU racked up 475 total yards, including 275 on the ground, which was the most given up by the Bulldogs all season. The Tigers were also a perfect 4-of-4 on fourth down conversions and forced four turnovers in the victory.

Defensively, the Tigers held a Georgia offense that came into the game averaging 42 points and 485 total yards to season lows for points (16) and total offense (322).

The win over the second-ranked Bulldogs marked the first time LSU beat an opponent ranked that high in Tiger Stadium since knocking off top-ranked Florida in 1997. It was only the third time in school history LSU beat a team at home ranked either No. 1 or No. 2 in the nation (LSU defeated No. 2 Ole Miss in 1961).

“Coach Orgeron and the Tigers have compiled one of the most impressive resumes to date of any team in the country,” said Jim Terry, chairman of the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Foundation. “This was a statement win and LSU looks poised to be a true College Football Playoff contender this season.”

Extremely well deserved. The entire coaching staff, top to bottom, ran circles around the UGA staff and completely embarrassed them.

Would it kill you to read?

The Nega's shrimp boat captain is actually turning out to be a pretty good coach.

They can't give out a trophy every week, so they honor one coach every week in the spirit of the award. I'm not sure what the issue is with that.

Why don't they just call it the Bobby Dodd coach of the week award or something? Why the Dodd Trophy coach of the week? Just odd naming is all I'm saying. You don't see Heisman Trophy player of the week, Biletnikoff Award WR of the week, etc (watch lists are a different thing). It just sounds weird.

One of my favorite threads from the other night.

Apparently, according to the idiot haters LSU has a high school coach running the offense.

That high school coach racked up 475 total yards, including 275 on the ground, which was the most given up by the Bulldogs all season.

Who's your Dodd-y? Coach O, that's who.

One of many trophies added to the soon to crowded trophy cabinet of our Coach. That man is something else.

Not upvoting your post until you include the picture of O stretching.

A fluke. There's no way that has been can install an offense.

He is just running a hybrid Cam Cameron / Matt Canada offense. He is just a high school coach. He doesn't have any ideas of his own. Did you read the thread that was linked?
