My coach!! The girls are really having fun even though the media heads would have you believe she is a stuck up person.

She's an awesome combo between maternal and coach. You can tell she holds them to a high standard and they love and respect her for it.

I don't follow WBB at all other than occasionally knowing when they have a game. I think spending big money on a WBB is a horrible ROI. But Mulkey is my favorite head coach at LSU. She's obviously competent. She's incredibly candid. And she has the gravitas to know she can essentially say what ever she wants and doesn't give a shite if it offends anyone. She commands respect and gets it. I genuinely believe she is the ONLY female coach who could possibly be successful coaching a men's because she would have the ability to gain their respect.

I won't become a rabid WBB fan any time soon. But she is the only coach I can remember being hired at LSU where the question regarding a national championship at LSU was when, not if.

Not going to lie, her fire and competitiveness shows in the team. That swag and energy was incredible to watch last night. Also, kudos to the crowd there- it was a beautiful thing to hear on tv.

Watching her work the officials is hilarious. She never lets up, no matter the score. She was going nuts last night. My favorite CKM moment was last year, one of the players got a T and she asked the official "what did she say?". The ref said "She said it was bullshite"...and CKM said "Well, she is right."

That interview is just as good entertainment as the game itself. NO CAP.

When it comes to Kim, the media is such an interesting dynamic.

It generally seems that tv media, especially those associated with the game (former coaches/players), all like her or at the very least speak well and respectfully of her.

But the print media, especially those that cover the other national powers and things hate her.

I'm sure there were a lot of fanbases and writers around the country giddy with last night's game even with LSU pulling out the win. However, last night may have only served to actually make them better and a more dangerous team with them getting challenged prior to playing TN and SC.

I was just talking to my wife, who is not a sports person, how gifted Mulkey is as a coach and person. She is so intelligent and gifted when, in her relationship with her players.
My wife's response was something about her ear rings.

Because journalists are nothing more than woke idiots and Kim doesn’t bow down at the altar of political correctness. How dare she call out the NCAA for stupid Covid restrictions! How dare she not speak out against that tyrant Putin at every single press conference she holds!

Rrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

What a great press conference. I can’t at that i follow women’s basketball at all, but I love all things LSU.

It is great having those young women represent LSU. Such leadership and confidence from both of them. You can feel the love they have for their coach. 100% worth the watch if you haven’t.

The media would have you believe all her players (current and former) hate her.

Enjoyed them all year. Angel's speech at the end speaking about Flau'jae being the hardest worker and earning freshmen of the year in her eyes was awesome!

i agree with every word of this.

Mulkey is the only female coach that i sincerely believe could succeed coaching men. Maybe Pat Summitt could’ve succeeded too, back in the day, but Mulkey is absolutely a bad-arse coach.

What's really interesting for those who never knew her as a player is that she was just as firey & combative as a point guard can be on a team, men or female.
