I hear ya. I kinda threw the rotation together as a guess. Looking back at it now, someone else mentioned that we probably won't save our best pen lefty for Sunday and that makes sense, but I doubt he'll pitch on the same day as Anderson unless the team we're facing is truly that bad against lefties.
I also think Eyanson might be the Saturday starter at the beginning of the season and let shores build up a bit to be safe.
The point of this thread was more of a concept prediction rather than an actual rotation prediction

I think the Shores/Cowan combo has some legs though.
With Shores coming back from injury and Cowan being an innings eater it's good to have a long guy ready to take over for him. Their contrasting heights, release points, and styles could make Cowan's stuff play up a little bit too.

I think that's been an underrated part of CJJ, and it's how our pitching did so well in 2022 despite not having a lot of talent. Early in the season he gives guys leeway to grow, but when it's crunch time he doesn't wait around.
Virginia's coach is the worst offender I've seen lately of leaving guys in, I would go insane if I was a UVA fan.
