Les used opportunities he wasn't really a candidate for to get more money/power.
Like Saban and virtually every other football coach at the collegiate or professional level?

Alleva was also frustrated that Les wouldn't take any of his input.
So Alleva wanted to be LSU's Jerry Jones?
quote:
-Orgeron was meant to be the anti Les. Alleva knew Orgeron wanted the job so bad that he would do whatever he told him.
The anti-most successful coach in school history --- now THAT is thinking outside the box! And a yes man on top of that? Brilliant!!
quote:
Neither Alleva or O did their homework on Canada and his past issues getting along with people.
So neither thr coach nor his figurehead did their jobs...
All I can say is if true, wow! I've been pretty inpartial on Alleva but if this is even half-true he needs to be gone yesterday.

I want a real University President and an AD. Let the chips fall where they may.
What dysfunctional "Process" is in place here that continues their employment at LSU?
Something absolutely has to change here and very soon.
BOS is the key.

It goes deeper than that. You had a governor who valued his personal ideals, political philosophy, ambition more than his state. Jindal was awful for LSU and the state. Louisiana is virtually a "third world' state.
LSU had Lombardi who did wonderful things at UF but Jindal's lackeys on the BOS fired him.
There won't be many outstanding educator administrators who want to be at the helm of a "flagship" program without flagship funding or commitment to excellence. The result is you end up with an FKA.

Chris Landry rarely says anything positive about LSU. I am giving him the benefit of a doubt because I have never personally heard him say anything positive. Just negative, negative, negative.

If this alone is true...then frick the fricking shite out of Joe Alleva. He has the exact same characteristics as a shitty NFL Owner who thinks he needs input in Game Strategy. Hey Joe....you're not a fricking coach!!!

My first reaction to Canada was the fact that he had been at 52 school in a decade. He never stayed more than 2 seasons yet everyone was calling him a genius because of one season in a shitty conference.
The rant falls in love with ever player and every hire made somehow. Until Orgeron.

Maybe you should actually read what I posted before calling someone else a retard. Just my .02.

You don't think O is a great DL coach? Or, one of the best recruiters there is? So yeah, bookmark it.
Orgeron no longer gets measured by his merits as a defensive line coach.
quote:
I happen to think that O is a very good head coach in part to his past failures and then working under and learning from some of the best. And, He has completely transformed the LSU program...

People only see what they want to see. The LSU program (in its entirety) is 10x better run than it ever has been.

we really need a IQ litmus test so morons like this can be flushed out here. chicken make it happen.

“Calling him a genius”
You mean like Coach O did?
Like Canada or not, he was Coach O’s first major offensive move and it was pretty much a classic failure.

Just look at how aggressive they are pursuing transfers... more with regard to the structuring of the program and the additions of key staff and analysts. It goes on and on.

Lol. The mind numbing idiocy from posters like that is unexplainable.

This board absolutely hates Les, I will never understand it. After he was fired posters came out to say he should have been fired at the Monday night Tennessee game.
It is comical the amount the man gets for all the winning he accomplished and the prestige he brought LSU.
