-Joe Alleva didn't care for Les Miles. Les used opportunities he wasn't really a candidate for to get more money/power. Alleva was also frustrated that Les wouldn't take any of his input.

-Orgeron was meant to be the anti Les. Alleva knew Orgeron wanted the job so bad that he would do whatever he told him.

-Admins wanted a name brand at OC.

-Neither Alleva or O did their homework on Canada and his past issues getting along with people.

-Pitt was not sad to see Canada go.

-Admins told Canada he could do whatever he wanted when hired. This would be his ticket to be a head coach and Orgeron wouldn't interfere with him.

-Canada came in thinking he was more important than the head coach.

-Assistant coaches like O as a person but don't respect him as a coach. They think they know more football than he does.

-Ed originally wanted to hire Ensminger. After the Canada debacle he was able to tell Alleva it was his turn to hire who he really wanted.

-Every time Ed says he made a mistake hiring Canada he is really saying Alleva made the mistake.

all of this on his podcast today.

I don't know what is true or not, but this all sounds like what we have heard/ suspected...

what a fricking circus.

I want a real University President and an AD. Let the chips fall where they may.

Please do everything to keep DA.

He was. And didn’t everyone say as much beforehand? The coordinators were the key to our success, not O.

.

They do. Probably grinds their gears to no end to see someone like O in the position he’s in.

Chris Landry doesn’t know shite.

He puts pieces together just like any other fan, and probably gets a ton of information/speculation from this site.

That said, frick Joe Alleva and the sooner he is gone the better it will be for LSU, whether O gets a NY6 Bowl this year or not.

That's essentially all stuff we've heard before, to be fair.

What a trainwreck that Orgeron's only plan was Kiffen at OC and then was going to default to Ensminger....more confirmation this is going to end terribly for LSU.

I don't buy that no one knew what kind of offense Matt Canada ran or that they didn't know he was a hot head and had jumped around. Alleva and Orgeron just didn't want to pay attention to it.

Is what it is. All the griping and fretting about it is just a waste of energy . I'll just see how it plays out.

I'm taking all of that with a grain of salt, but it wouldn't surprise me if Alleva was trying to act like a dysfunctional puppetmaster behind the scenes.

that's cool. but the behind the scenes stuff is pretty fascinating. it's also interesting that this guy is trying to run our football program:

he thinks of himself as the GM

Why else do you think Aranda needed 10 million, guaranteed?

He was Orgeron’s superior, albeit briefly. Sure he has said all the right things in the public eye, but I bet it eats Aranda up inside knowing he has to take orders from some 56 year old man child who rips his shirt off and smashes Red Bull cans on his head like a millenial on spring break.

Funniest part is even if Lane Kiffen did come to LSU as OC last season, everyone would have to know that it wouldn't last more than a year until he got a job offer and left to be a Head Coach again. Orgeron worked for Kiffen at Tennessee and at USC, not the other way around.

Alleva got played by Tom Herman's agent and wasn't going to spend for Jimbo so he hoped the opportunity of Kiffen+Aranda would be better than going out and conducting a real search.

Why the frick is he an AD at a major university then? That's part of the job. Every coach with any record of results is going to try to squeeze the university for more money.

But he sure did remedy that with O didn't he? No one wants O so we never have to worry about him asking for more money. But now our program suffers because Alleva wanted his job to be a little easier, instead of him growing a set and doing his job correctly.

I’ve heard the same thing on Canada. It was Allevas hire. Ed was kinda saddled with it whether he liked it or not.

Chris Landry is still bitter he got locked out of the gates to the football operations building. He use to have reliable inside info.
