I wanna return to this thread after the auburn game just to see if the tides change. Definitely a quality coach (pun intended) but I think his record in part comes from his strong ability to recruit talent. Don't get me wrong he fits in really well with LSU and I appreciate everything he's done but id like to see what his record would be with a sub par team.

While he did beat some very good teams at osu his record never really stood out compared to someone like sumlin who took an average Huston team to a 12-0 record.

40% winning percentage against SEC-Top 5 opponents

Alumni of what school???

I don't know who your top 5 SEC programs might be right now, but mine would be Bama, Aub, Fla, Geo, and USC.

The LSU winning % over those schools since 05 is like 60+%.

So, "Ouch" back to you.

Les is like the best used car I have ever bought. Still going strong, even with the negatives. I just can't see trying to find a new one because the positives far outweigh the negatives. I could go buy one that seems better, but regret it.

I think he's a great coach. Runs a very good program and is a good ambassador for the school. There are times I get frustrated by some of his decisions during games, but no coach in America is perfect. despite the frustration, I wouldn't trade him for anybody else. Geaux Les &

His miscues are overemphasized because he occassionally acts goofy. Every big name coach you can think of has shown up for a game unprepared or made a real head-scratching decision sometime within the last year.

He is the best coach in school history.

I like him. And glad he finally made the right decision. He has been stuck in his way and has worked but you have to be adaptable to stay on top.

I wouldn't trade him for anyone else and if Michigan tries to take him we should nuke Ann Arbor.

Kinda like looking at Nicks record at MSU? It was winning 58%. Miles at OSU was 57%.

That the kinda thing you are interested in?

I'll still love him. And so will you if LF7 takes it 70+ yards to the house on that play, probably not if it gets stuffed, though.

Saban is but one coach, not 3.

The question shalt still thou remain then. Anyone? Anyone at all? NO? No takers? Then the ruling stands... There are no other teams that stand up to the best like LSU under Les Miles. That is the point you have proven to all of us right here just now. Does it hurteth to admit thou justice?

I love the goofy sob. Is he the best coach in the ncaa? Maybe not but he is the best for the tigers. The dude wins games and runs a good program. There is a reason he brings in the best recruits from around the country
