Your first post.

I thought it was pretty obvious that it was a violent hit with his helmet across the WRs body........

Wrong!

From the rule book

quote:

Intentional helmet-to-helmet contact is never legal, nor is any other blow
directed toward an opponent’s head.

quote:

No player shall initiate contact and target a defenseless opponent
above the shoulders. When in question, it is a foul. (Refer to Points of
Emphasis for a description of “Defenseless Player.”)

When in question it is a foul! Means if it is close it is a penalty!

The play was close! Case Closed!

This was a legit hit that surely could have been called either H2H or not. The difference in the La Tech is that the guy in that game "left his feet" to hit TT. CJ just freaking leveled Adams on a pure football play. Too bad there was a penalty involved. But to be honest, that play was so dang awesome that I didn't even get upset over the penalty. The hit sent tingles down my leg. Oops sorry, that is Chris Matthews' line, but at least I know how he felt.

The above is a previous post of mine, thus you can see I agree with you. I live way out in the country in God's country so I have to slum on dial-up so wasn't able to see the vid someone posted. And yeah, the hit was AMAZING.... My wife came running out of our room when I yelled. She thought someone had died.

I think Adams did, too.

I never said he did it on purpose or "intentionally lead with his head". All I said was that it was clear that the helmets severely hit (although, remarkably, not NEARLY as severely as they might have!).

See the post directly below your last one with the cited rules. You lose.

You know you loved every bit of the that beautifully timed hit!

sure i loved it, it saved a TD

not what i would call a form tackle

and not sure i would call it legal...i can especially see where the refs were coming from when they made the call on the field

I don't lose........when one has to word play to prove their point only further potentiates that great football plays are no longer accepted in today's society..........the pussification of America.

Only because of the violence involved with the hit.........and the players helmet flying off in the visual. The player on the ground clearly didn't recieve a direct blow to the head because he was gasping for air on the ground.

I can see why he threw the flag also but I don't like it one bit. It's similar to the Tom Brady flag in the Ravens game a few weeks back......players shouldn't be penalized for aggressiveness.

You must have never been in an accident where you didn't hit your head, but still felt kinda off. It's called a collision, shite gets jarred around.

textbook hit, & what about the obvious facemask the refs missed after Chad's INT?

His helmet coming in contact with Adams right shoulder........it's impossible to make a tackle without leading with the head..........the key is to keep your head up when making contact and crossing the numbers of the player........

Don't act like you've never been told this Earl. "Head up, cross the numbers."

Dude, it was helmet to head (helmet). It wasn't intentional as he tried to lead with his shoulder, but he made contact with the dudes head. It's not whether you lead with the helmet, but making significant contact with your helmet to theirs.

The call should've been made immediately, but wasn't, which was my only problem.

Your head doesn't have to make contact with something to make you feel bad.

I hate using wiki as a source, but it is late so here goes:

Concussion may be caused by a blow to the head, or by acceleration forces without a direct impact.

Concussion

Head up outside shoulder from Titans website.......Chad Jones just didn't wrap up.......but he didn't have too because his momentum carried him threw the player. Notice where the players helmet is being coached........OUTSIDE SHOULDER.
