I was curious and looked up the last 5 champ games.

The underdog has covered in all 5 and won in 3 of them.

2014/15 - Ohio State 42 Oregon 20 -- Oregon-6.5
2015/16 - Alabama 45 Clemson 40 -- Bama -6.5
2016/17 - Clemson 35 Alabama 31 -- Bama -6.5
2017/18 - Alabama 26 Georgia 23 (OT) -- Bama -3.5
2018/19 - Clemson 44 Alabama 16 -- Bama -5.5
2019/20 - LSU -6 TBD

Hopefully we can end that trend and be a favorite that covers and wins.

No one seed has won it all either yet. We break records

I am little surprised by this.

I was too, but OSU was the 4 seed and barely squeaked in the playoffs while Oregon was the 2 seed.

Cardale Jones was the 3rd string QB going against Heisman Trophy winner Mariota. Zeke took that game over with 200+ yards and 4 TDs

Bama doesn’t cover, Oregon was overrated, we got this.

Also no 3 seed has won it so that's not in their favor either.
