The publicity around the bowl games, outside of the final 4 is non-existent. The LSU team that will play in the Fiesta Bowl is not the LSU team that played Georgia or even Texas A&M, it is missing many key players.

Go back to the 2 teams BCS or expand to 32 teams, anything else is ridiculous.

Rookie contracts are partly go blame for the players not being in the games combined with what you say as well. The sooner these kids can get to the league, the sooner they can get to that second contract.

Expanding to 32 is more ridiculous than what we have now.

The teams like LSU who have a sprinkling of NFL players will always be decimated before they get to the bowl game. What is the point? We will be a shadow of the mid-season team unless we are Final 4.

Drop the bowl system or expand the playoffs to 32, then the regular season is watered down.

Watch the attendance at the non-playoff bowl games, nobody goes, the teams are shadows of themselves. Any player with an NFL future is an idiot to play.

Or just make the playoffs. Haven’t heard of any draft eligible players sitting out for Bama, Clemson, OU, or Notre Dame.

Honestly the NFL needs a D league and college football should return to the kids who want a degree

You make each conference go to 12 teams. Teams will have to be added to get to 144 Division I teams (12 conferences of 12). You play a round robin against the rest of the conference. You then take the 12 winners and have a playoff.

That is how you make things fair, but that is never going to happen. Until then it should be the P5 conference champs and 3 at large bids in an 8 team playoff.

After that anything else you say is irrelevant.

Amen. I also like the idea of letting undrafted players return to school if they choose. That's tough with the scholarship limits. I'm not sure How that would work. Someone smarter and better paid than me would have to figure that out.

Really? I think he has a good point about the post season having less meaning for those outside the top 4.

The 2018 LSU team is not playing in the Fiesta Bowl, they will wear the uniforms, but it is a different team, it's what's left of the 2018 team that will play.

The game is less than meaningless, it is a fraud.

I agree, drop it to 20 football scholarships. Everyone else is a walkon who wants to play for fun.

Unless there is some massive coaching blunder(s), I don't think anyone should really have much of a reaction if LSU loses. If we win, a ton of credit should be given to the staff.
