Sounds just like what Les would say. LSU needs to hire an offensive coach. It has been far too long that we have suffered with no offense.

Missed tackles did lead to the Hurts touchdown. Not sure how much fatigue played a factor in that.

Actually, Coach O is right, the defense didn't tackle and execute for all four quarters and the difference was Les Miles' old and antiquated offense in which Saban knows like the back of his hand, which caused our defense to remain on the field for way too long.

Not to mention, that personal foul late hit call on Devin White on that drive wasn't really a late hit, and Louis Neal was also held on Jason Hurts touchdown run.

But more than anything else, it was the fact that LSU is stuck with Les Miles' old and antiquated offense that was the difference in that game. Otherwise, LSU did about as well as it could have done in that game considering the offense we were forced to run. You could tell the entire game that Alabama new what was coming.

What this team needs is a new modern offense that isn't Les Miles' old and antiquated offense in which Nick Saban knows better than the back of his hand, as Alabama new every play we ran before we even ran it the entire game.

True. And I'd trust Tom Herman or Jimbo Fisher to change the offensive culture more than I would Ed Orgeron.

Okay...where is the rest of the sentence or paragraph so we can determine what context he said it in. Did he say it in the context that because of our offense, "the defense didn't tackle and execute for four quarters?" Because if that is the context he said it in, then he is absolutely right.

Or did he just say it to denigrate the defense and the defensive coordinator? As that to me would seem to be out of context, since the only thing I've ever seen and heard coach O say about Dave Aranda was how great of a defensive coordinator he is.

So therefore, where is your link so we can see the context he said your quote in?

You people are insane.

The same geniuses that ran Brady off one season after the final four.
They would rather put unreasonable expectations on a coach and not get to the play offs so they will have more to bitch about.
How could Coach O fix the problems left by Miles, half way through the season?
Give O the rest of the season before you fire him.

How do you know he was blaming the defense? There is no context given to that quote above?

They broke down in the fourth quarter. I know alot of that has to do with the offense not extending drives, but he is correct. Beckwith was in position to make the tackle but he missed.

Respectfully, this opinion is football ignorant. 10 fricking points. Stoned for 3 quarters. You have to score 13 points at home against anybody - the Patriots, Broncos, anybody.

Not to mention, that you are an ignoramus because that's not the offense Ensminger or anyone else wants to be running, especially when everyone knows that Saban knows it like the back of his hand. Which is why they were able to stop us so effectively, because they obviously knew what was coming even before the ball was snapped.

Defense did their job. You don't play against the #1 team in the country, averaging what, 40 pts a game, and expect to be able to shut them out. Holding them to 10 late points was an A+ on the defense.

We have a guy supposedly the best running back of the decade, maybe longer. "Best ever at LSU", it's claimed. Blazing fast WRs (and Chark did make a big play). 5 star talent across the board at the skill positions, except for QB, and that QB seemed to be able to manage games.

You got 2 weeks to prepare for this, you have to have SOMETHING in the bag. Screens to Fournette. Reverse to Dupre, who throws it deep to Chark... something like that.

This is on the coach.

Considering it was Les Miles' old and antiquated offense in which Nick Saban knows better than the back of his hand, then what more can you expect? Indeed, Alabama knew what was coming before we ever snapped the ball, just like they knew what was coming last year before we even snapped the ball.

There is a difference in complacent and being worn the hell out because the offense and coaches gave you no chance at all.

This is not the offense the coaches want to be running, as it's Les Miles' old and antiquated offense that Nick Saban knows like the back of his hand. Hence, it didn't matter what the coaches called, Alabama's defense was prepared and knew before the ball was even snapped what was coming no matter what the coaches called.

Why dont our coaches ever blame the offense? Its always the defenses fault.

Everyone and their brother already knows that LSU is stuck with Les Miles' offense and that Saban knows it better than he knows the back of his hand. So he shouldn't need to say it again.

Indeed, Alabama's defense knew what was coming every play even before we snapped the play no matter what play Ensminger called, as this wasn't the first year it was apparent.

Having read the 1st 4 pages of this thread(that's all I could take), it seems I am to understand that Orgeron gave a 1-sentence press conference. Never change tRant.

The defense was out there too long. We aren't going to beat Bama until we recruit better offensive linemen.
