Are you actually arguing that JJ gives LSU the best opportunity to win games????

LSU fans have always suffered from the "grass is always greener syndrome." Just so happens in this case, they're right.
In the famous words of Robert Frost when he was asked about the meaning of the last two lines of "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening"...if I could have said it any better, I would have.

How bout, one is terrible and one is incredibly average.

Thanks. PsychTiger made it.

Lee's 72% completion percentage would be tops in the SEC among all QB's...if he had enough attempts to qualify.
That's all well and good, but there is a reason that one must "qualify." If Lee starts to throw more, his percentage will likely go down. Then, we will see exactly how much better he has gotten since 2008.
I'd have to say, though, that it's obvious he has gotten better, I just don't know how much.

Me too. You know it's getting bad when people are trying to rehabilitate Crowton's reputation as a misunderstood genius put in a bad spot by Miles's support for JJ.

Let them talk about our QB's and laugh. Our defense continues to lick their chops and dominate.

When asked if Jefferson felt pressure to hold off Lee for the starting job, Jefferson said, "No pressure. He's just had some great plays called for him, and he's executed the way he's needed to to put points on the board. It just happens that way. Both of us are putting points on the board." Sorry, Jordan. That's not exactly accurate. Jefferson has not thrown a touchdown pass since the season opener against North Carolina. During the past three games, Jefferson was 15 of 30 for 158 yards with three interceptions and no touchdowns. Jefferson is averaging an interception every 15 pass attempts. Even in the worst of times for "Pick-Six Lee," he threw an interception every 16 passing attempts in 2008. Jefferson's no longer pleading for mercy. He's pleading for memory loss.
Per SI.com:
JL's thrown for two touchdowns.
JJ's thrown for two touchdowns.
JL's rushed for 0 touchdowns.
JJ's rushed for 4 touchdowns.
"Both of us are putting points on the board": Looks like an accurate statement. Don't get me wrong, I believe JL's earned the start - he seems to actually lead the team when he's on the field, as opposed to just being there, but there's clearly a place for JJ. (Occasional short yardage plays, RZ, etc.) JL is also the obvious choice for the two minute drill.....

The same fans clamoring to bury LSU quarterback Jarrett Lee two years ago are the same fans yearning for Lee to return to his former starting role this week as No. 6 LSU travels to Jordan-Hare Stadium to face No. 5 Auburn, which is also undefeated.
These are the same fans who screamed from the cheap seats to the luxury suites in Tiger Stadium for Jordan Jefferson to replace Lee two years ago, and are the same ones consistently calling more vehemently than ever for Jefferson's head this season.
Will be interesting to see what happens when Lee has a bad game. I can guarantee you that this board will light up with "give JJ a chance" threads. There is a portion of this fanbase that doesn't have a clue.

Hate to say it, but he sounds like he is making excuses.

Concur - Like I said, JL seems to have grown into a leader, while JJ is just another athletically talented dude on the field. That said, he does have some things to offer - keeping defense off-balance by offering another skill set to worry about...

Dude, that's pretty harsh considering Lee drove the team down the field to put it in position to win against Tennessee (never mind the brain trust almost screwed that up by switching to JJ) and then led the team on a game winning drive in the swamp. Seems pretty good to me.

Yeah, he doesn't get it. Hopefully he can still contribute if needed.

Both of these guys deserve a QB coach - tremendous talent coming into the program, but not much improvement over the years (props though to JL - believe what improvement he has shown is due more to his character than solid coaching)

He is a "JJ supporter" or a Lee hater. The new Lee hater mantra is that they "both suck."
