LSU around 14-16th would be solid. Regardless, we need to beat the auburn's and georgia's of the world to truly be a top 10 team.

It's a ratings thing. Auburn v. LSU will be a CBS game in 2 weeks. They want to make it a top 10 match up. 10 is a stretch right now.

Yep, nothing but pumping that 2:30 matchup vs Auburn on CBS!

Ill take it though.

At Auburn you 100% want a 2:30 game.

Pretty sure the last game we won there was a night game, wasn't it?

Later in the season I would agree with you, but if it's a hot and humid afternoon it's going to be really tough. Auburn has a ton of depth on defense. We will need sustained drives to keep ours fresh.

Oh 100% could not agree more. I think its already scheduled for that slot. I was just pointing out its in CBS best interest for LSU to be ranked in the top 10 so of course they would pump that narrative.

It’s a stretch but it’s sure as hell better than a gratuitous 25th, also just for pumping the game.

And at least we’re being discussed. Nothing more depressing than catching a college football overview segment and we aren’t even discussed.

Bleacher Report guesses 15.

I think that is fair.

What?! Why? The cool comfortable climate of East Alabama in mid-September?

LSU hasn't won a 2:30 game at Auburn in maybe forever.

LSU's only 4 wins there in the last 30 years were ALL night games (2012, 2008, 1998, 1996)

After week one, are there definitely 10 teams that had a better performance? This is the problem with preseason rankings. We soundly beat a quality opponent while other teams beat up on crappy schools for the most part. Our win was easily in the top 5 of most impressive.

If we destroy SELA and some teams ahead of us lose, it’s conceivable in two weeks.

But I doubt it.

Agreed and on another note watching the game on ABC was a pleasure compared to CBS with all their commercials that seemingly air on every other play.

Meh.

Forget preseason polls. Can you name 10 teams who looked more impressive after Week 1 than LSU? Polls shouldn’t be predictions, they should be more like power rankings, very fluid week to week as more data is collected. I’m not sure you could objectively rank 10 teams ahead of LSU after 1 game.

We are not a top 10 team.

15-19 is accurate.

Beat aubie and we're for sure top 10.

Until LSU beats Auburn, it's not really a top ten team
