I didn't see last weeks game, but 13 guys caught passes, not sure if Shep didn't play much or just wasn't thrown to

He struggles getting open and isn't a big enough target to make the tough catches in traffic. He's not a true NFL receiver, but Kelly must feel like he can utilize him some way they haven't shown yet in preseason.

Chip didn't even have to use a pick.

he is 1/4...after 6 targeted throws. Of course, the Eagles QBs are hot garbage...but 1 catch in 6 is about where he was at LSU.

No rushes.

I suppose CK has him locked in the secret play book.

He hasn't been 2nd team in their games so far. Jackson, Avant, Cooper, and Johnson have been on the field together. Salas has played well and last week they traded for a WR and moved a TE to WR.

It looks like they will have to keep 6 WRs in order for him to have a chance, and that's assuming they don't pick up any free agents or players cut from other teams.

Correct. Money spent on a free agent not in vain.

So you are saying chip Kelly won't cut him cause he has a lot invested in him & that his ego won't let him?

You're fricking dumb

I sense that Shep is trending down with the Eagles. I watched the first pre-season game and they targeted him 6 times, but he was never open. His only catch was a little drag just past the line and he was immediately tackled.

I think he runs poor routes and has an inability to get open. He wasn't targeted at all in the second pre-season game, and the Eagles are throwing the ball everywhere.

I think they gave him a shot early but no production. I love the guy, but Shep isn't an NFL receiver.
