I know I'll get blasted but folks, Canada ain't the Messiah. Saban is right...a lot of the pre-snap movement is eye candy. Canada is going to have to run some stuff Saban ain't seen. And even then, we gonna have to get breaks. Several years ago, when Ole Miss beat them, Ole Miss got every break & bounce in the book. LSU going to have to get the same. If Aranda can hold Bama like he did last year, it will keep game respectable.

And, a LOT is identifying coverages, blitz / defense concepts.

UGH!! I hate this screed where a team needs to "fool" or "surprise" the other team. The successful ones simply identify favorable matchups and execute well.

NONE of the top teams are doing so by coming out with brand new "things never seen before" each game. It is silliness.

Hell yeah its eye candy but it gives information to the coaches and more importantly the players. Such as man or zone defense.

FTR, Canada has essentially admitted that their offense is, in fact, rather simple. Remember these are college kids, and they can be susceptible to 'eye candy'. Certainly Bama will be disciplined and it won't work too well against them. But to assume that Canada's offense is somehow ONLY about the eye candy, you are mistaken. Hopefully the O can execute this weekend and actually move the ball

and eye candy is exactly the goal.

Reading keys is essential in defense. If you're eyes aren't looking at the right keys, you won't be making the right decisions and be out of position.

"eye candy" isn't necessarily a bad thing.

And as others have noted, it has other benefits such as getting the D to tip their hand. Considering our QB does struggle reading the field, it can come in handy having some pre-snap reads.

I don’t even necessarily disagree with your original post. It’s poorly written, comes off negative, but I agree we’ll need some breaks.
I don’t remember the majority thinking Canada was the messiah persay, but he’s already proven to be better than anything we’ve had.

I think the reason LSU fans are jumping all over him is because the O has been so bad in the past.
