Let me ask you this then...and you may not know... Canada bad mouth/talked down to players & recruits about Orgeron? and also said "i hope we dont win another game"

This is retarded the idea that he was talking shite to recruits is laughable it would destroy his career no one (but maybe alleva or Orgeron) would be that stupid

It was revealed after Troy that orgeron made the offense run a simplified version of what we ran vs State. This is true.
We ran into a buzz saw at State, there was plenty of blame to go around for that one. Mainly on O for having no one ready to play.

The Florida Game: This is what I will call the "turning point" in their relationship. We had been doing extremely well going up 17-3. During the game , in the booth, canada called for Brennan. Not because Etling was playing bad, but because he wanted run a different set of plays that he believed would help extend the lead.

This is where I believe you. It was obvious Brennan ran a different set of plays. He also ran them pretty well at times...or as well as a freshman could.

quote:

To further point this out, the same problem was presented vs alabama. If you found it odd that Brennan went in with 2 or so minutes left, your feeling is justified. That was a public "frick you" to Canada, who was calling for Brennan all game.
Wow.

I pray to God O goes full retard next year again.

The head coach that makes sure to let everyone know he is the decision maker and that things will be done his way admitted he did not know which rb was starting the game. That's a fact, there is nothing to spin.

Your attempted justification of the play call that nobody asked for is spin.

You guys are complaining about that play like it was a bad call, which it was not , any coach would have taken 6 yards on 1st and 10. Brossette got hit hard and in the right place. AND, as to Orgeron not knowing why, does that not fit with your desire that Orgeron stay out of the offensive play calling, etc?

You want it both ways....you can't have it both ways

Regardless, it all starts with Alleva making the hire. Im interested to see how 2018 plays out.

Didn't Orgeron gain favor last year by saying they were going to try and score as many points as possible, never taking their foot off the gas on offense?

If this is true, it demonstrates that O, in addition to bringing absolutely nothing strategically, is a toxic, petty manager of people.

Well this was well known before he was hired. It has always been the case.

Nobody has complained about the call, nitwit. That's a strawman argument. The question concerns Corch claiming to have no idea Brossette was getting the first snap.

4D chess?

Putting an inexperienced QB in while down on the road to Bama with hardly any time left was suicidal.

So this whole board actually believes that Canada called for Brennan ALL YEAR LONG, but the only time he wnet in it was Bebe trying to mess with ev eryone. You people are ridiculous.

I hav eno idea as to the truth of the rest of the info you provided, but I can promise this is beyond retarded.

You say that it is beyond retarded, and yet putting him in when he did was what was beyond retarded. These two were at odds to a ridiculous degree.

Canada didnt hate Etling. He just felt he had limited abilities. He also vouched for a two QB system. Etling for deep balls and runs, Brennan for short throws and middle routes.

Lol ok

As others have pointed out, Canada is getting 1.7 no matter if he gets another job or not. His 3+ amount would've been offset by whatever he makes at another job, correct?

yes it is guaranteed.

that $3mil was also guaranteed money. just not guaranteed that LSU was going to be the school to foot the entire bill for it.

so unless he lands another Million+ dollar job this year, he still takes a hit.
and other than him, there was only 2 OC's in entire country making over $1mil last year, meaning likelihood of him having that type of salary again is actually quite slim.

It is no more retarded than the idea a HC would play a player as a public to his OC, yet this whole ignorant board laps that up like it's mother's milk.

Typical LSU "fans".

Boosters and most of Admin will not allow this to continue much longer. We fired our greatest coach in history to progress. Not plateau.

I’d love to believe this but how does that jive with hiring Orgeron in the first place. I know Joe was the point man but some of these people had to at least sign off on it .... hiring the d-line coach from a fired staff who literally NO ONE else wanted and who had a track record of losing ... this is a place you put your foot down and don’t give in If you are committed to having a successful program.

Canada has a short fuse. This is true on every level. Likely why his relationships with schools end rather quickly. But the man is an offensive genius. If he had his way, the Florida game likely wouldn't have been close. But that is neither here nor there. What stands is that him being let go was almost assured that day.

Very true, but the fact he was running around town getting hammered and talking trash about O, was the reason the relationship couldn't be repaired!

I am in such a pickle....on the one hand I don't want to support this shite show, on the other hand I need to renew my season tickets because I don't want to lose them should we opt to take football seriously again one day...
