I know it wont be long before Adam4848 drops his amazing knowledge on us, but I can't wait any longer. Here is what I suspect to be a solid starting lineup and batting order...

1 - SS Josh Smith
2 - LF Antoine Duplantis
3 - RF Daniel Cabrera
4 - CF Zach Watson
5 - 1B Bryce Jordan / Nick Coomes
6 - DH Beau Jordan / Nick Storz / Nick Coomes
7 - 3B Jake Slaughter
8 - C - Hunter Feduccia / Nick Coomes
9 - 2B Brandt Broussard

Will be hard to keep Webre out of the starting lineup, IMO

SP - Zach Hess
SP - Caleb Gilbert
SP - Nick Storz
CL - Todd Peterson

I'm sure this could be way off, but this is what I feel. Please critique me baws. I'm bored at work.

Im excited about this year. Pitching could be anywhere from dominant to a liability but the bats should be smoking.

Isn't Nick Storz out for a few months? I think the 3rd spot is either AJ Labas or Todd Peterson. Midweek will probably be either Devon fontenot or Mikhail Hilliard though i can see both of them being tail end bullpen guys. Cam Sanders is another guy who could fit there

I think Smith stays at 3rd and Hughes gets a try at SS.

I wish Slaughter could stay at 1st over Coombes or Bryce.

I also think there is a chance Hess stays as closer if two frosh and/or Peterson can step up to start.

No way Hess stays in Bullpen with Walker out this year. I could be wrong tho

Feduccia will probably be higher in the lineup and Smith will probably be around the 5/6 hole.

Judging by what I saw in Fall, Gilbert is probably getting the nod on Friday nights. Hess will get his opportunities to start, but if the backend is struggling, we could see him move to the back.

I’m pretty sure Storz is hurt and can’t pitch right now, so I doubt he will go on Sundays. Look for someone like Hilliard, Fontenot, or Labas on Sundays to start.

I don’t see Peterson closing honestly, I don’t think he has the electric stuff that PM and AD look for in a closer. Watch for Hilliard to get a crack at it. He was dominate in the Fall.

I actually think Gilbert starts the season as the Friday night starter with Hess going on Saturday. My hunch is that Cam Sanders gets the first crack at the 3rd spot with Peterson next in line. I have no clue who the "closer" will be, but I don't think it will be Peterson.

Is it just me or does it seem like the Jordan twins have been here for 6 years?

I'm hoping we keep Hess as closer and continue to let him hone craft. A killer closer is an extremely valuable weapon to have.
