Can we just be happy about something positive!

LSU just got a 4 star Junior QB that was developed outside the laboratories of the Mad Hatter and we're all bitching and moaning and infighting.
-Give O some credit, he could use some positive support from the whole of our fan base.
-Celebrate shoring up the most important position on the field; the position that we've complained about for a decade; the same one that was looking awfully bleak at the end of spring practices.
-Let's set our stubborn prejudices and pride aside and ALL be happy for news that is OBVIOUSLY great.
-Give O some credit, he could use some positive support from the whole of our fan base.
-Celebrate shoring up the most important position on the field; the position that we've complained about for a decade; the same one that was looking awfully bleak at the end of spring practices.

It's not about "anointing" Burrow or anyone else. It's about being positive that a position of need has more than likely been upgraded. Just be glad the team has gotten better, that's all.

I totally agree with that take. I was referring to the part that I quoted. The kid shows some promise, no question.

Because telling LSU fans in May that their new highly regarded QB may not be Tom Brady, is like telling a 6 year old kid in September that there may not be a Santa Claus.
It's just being mean in the name of common sense and reason!
If you don't want to anoint Burrow or the team then don't. Fans that want to wait and see, should do just that WAIT and see and let others be excited until the expectations have given way to reality.
One thing I think we all can agree on is that all of us want the disparity between May's high expectations and December's reality to be ZERO.

I'm so sick of the "suck it O haters" threads. I don't get why people can't just enjoy it without all the pointless "In your face " threads.

yep. and most of us O critics have heaped praise on O for this addition. he has everything he needs this season to succeed now. no excuses. get it done. this team should be playing meaningful postseason games this year.

That's definitely an issue with this fan base. We are a polarised bunch and both sides are quick to throw a"SUCK IT" in the other's face.
Bottom line, We get lost in our emotions and forget we're pulling for the same team!
