We know what has happened the last 5 years. We will get another national seed.

Can this team, which has played very well in May, continue to play well into June as the competition gets better?

None of us know. The bottom of the order has come around. Our starters are pitching their best. Our bullpen has found the reliable guys...

I want to believe...

Getting Watson in the line up when they did has really solidified this team IMO

Watson was started prior to our worst stretch. That aint it. You can put it on Pap or KRob as hitters, but in reality it's the pitching which is finally living up to what we though it could be even without Cartwright and Norman.

Yeah. But a freshman trying to find his groove in a position he's never played? That's gotta be nerve racking for any pitcher. When you have a solid D, you start to loosen up a little. I think Watson being able to cover the outfield like he does had really helped

This is the most underrated defense I've ever seen. Not as flashy as the Leon Landry's or Andrew Stevensons, but it's unbelievable to watch. Smith might be the best defensive third baseman I've seen at LSU.

Underrated? I'm not so sure about that. It gets talked about very often.

Pap seeing the ball the way he has is what I point to... during our rough patch, there were quite a few times where he would come up with RISP and wouldn't produce.

The way he is seeing the ball right now, I feel more confident that he will get on base than anyone else on the team outside of Dups.

I guess I meant from the fans perspective. Guess like Watson just make it look easy, so it's natural to think it's more routine than incredible D.

I don't think many fans but the diehards know how good we are. That's fair. A discussion I was having with some friends was how Watson compared to Stevenson in CF. We've been so fricking spoiled with those two. Not a knock on duplantis, but Watson's first step is so much better.

Not as much as in 2013 when Skip made his comment.

Watching them the past few weeks, they could and honestly should. However, seeing them play well at the end of the season in past seasons and still lose to the Stony Brooks, the Houstons, and the Coastal Carolinas of the world, then anything is possible I guess.
