...to assist with security for the event next week?

It just seems so darn easy to avoid more black eyes on the city (if possible)

The city of Nola does not have authority, but the governor does.

and no one wants to go to a game with armed soldiers lining the streets

Only one that can activate the Guard is the Governor and the federal government

What? You realize the game has been played there before, right? Pretty sure NOPD is fairly well versed in crowd control.

. It wouldn’t bother me. Honestly I would feel a lot safer with them than NOPD.

Governor can, but having National Guard present would be extremely bad look.

It might be the only thing they are good at.

Not sure if you are serious, but in reality the one thing NOPD does well is handle large events.

Never had a super bowl, national football championship game, final fours, NBA all star game in the city before I guess.

NOLA pulls of big events better than any city in the country, why would you think extra security is needed?

They'll just overload the CBD with State Troopers and other State LE.

Didnt mean that...I meant extras around the Bourbon area on the perimeters. Let the cops handle the stuff they do best.
Seems like all the aTm thefts, robbery, etc take place and the heavier tourits areas.
