Can LSU fire CEO with cause

In light of the USA Today story, seems like LSU may have the opportunity to fire CEO with cause and avoid a buyout.
Not looking for your shitty opinions on whether they SHOULD do this, but rather your shitty opinions on whether they COULD do this.

Hey, you gave your shitty opinion.

Probably not... I would guess that Coach O had involvement/input from administrative sources with what was going on and how to handle it...
On the other hand, if Coach O did not involve the administration then he is certainly vulnerable...

Don't contracts have clauses about level 1 and 2 NCAA violations?

I don't think it's clear either way. But yeah this could be a potential major issue for him depending on details of how he handled things.

Good God, That seems like an awfully harsh overreaction.
From what I’m hearing and reading, it sounds like every player (other than D. Guice) was either removed from the program or exonerated by the legal system.
The article is little more than a hit piece aiming to convict the named players, administrators and university in the court of public opinion

They can do anything they want and let the legal repercussions fall as they may. It's pretty simple actually.

See, you're offering opinions not requested. I'm wondering about contract language, not whether USA Today is trustworthy

Who said to fire the coach?

The USA Today article may spur LSU or the NCAA to look into things further, but their mix of allegations, opinions, and, to some extent, facts does not amount to anything close to firing Orgeron with cause.
USA Today is not exactly an arbiter of truth and I can pessimistically guarantee that this piece was put into the works the moment Orgeron came out in support of Trump.
In reality, what the article amounts to is a list of things players did that got them more or less immediately removed from the team. Any grey area (like with Guice) was laughably stacked against Orgeron.
The long and the short of it is, this article may lead to investigations by more objective parties, but it's a hit piece in and of itself and doesn't stand on its own.
(As a total aside, the organization of that article was atrocious... It's like they mashed together a bunch of headlines that were supposed to be tweets, threw in some poorly edited commentary, and called it a day...)

Coach O 2016 Contract
Here is his original contract. I assume the boilerplate sections haven't changed.
