Yeah cus bama didn't have talent before saban. Give me a break, Shula was building momentum if it weren't for a few injuries to key players. And he did this after sanctions. Shula was basically their dinardo. But Bama has always been good.

Yes, I believe they are good enough on offense. I was just pointing out that when they did beat them, it was with a very good defensive team. The offense will have to (Mett) will have to play their best game.

I agree. Can we beat them, of course. Will we, I don't think so. What worries me is that if we do lose, the players will mail it in for the rest of the season. Even if we lose to the Gumps, a win over A&M and Arky could still possibly get us into the Cotton Bowl. I think that it is crucial for us to win our bowl game this year. Les is 1-3 with 3 straight losses in his last 4 bowl games. We have to break that streak.

Old saying "any given Sunday". Now lets change it to "any given saturday". If a beatup ole miss team can beat us than we have a chance. Whether we beat bama or not is up to the players.

If you would have broke down the Ole Miss game, I'm sure you would have said no way LSU loses. Same with the UGA/Vandy, A&M/Auburn, Tenn/USCe, Utah/Standford, etc
I just know that LSU always plays up to Bama. This is now LSU's season. Beat Bama.
Can you not allow me to be somewhat fricking positive? It baffles me that another LSU fan would actually argue against someone saying LSU will beat Bama. WTF?

The main reason we cant mail it in if we loose is for our guys to go into next year with confidence and build from it. We were progressing each game especially on defense till Mett threw those INT,s we cant forget that, because had we won, everyone on this thread would be feeling differently.

We can score on them but I can't name a team in the SEC that won't score on us. I think they will come up with enough stops to beat us.

Sorry man. I don't feel like I'm being negative, just looking for tangible reasons why we beat Alabama. That's all.

This has some merit but I can say this after having witnessed firsthand of Saban's destruction of other teams ever since he came back to college football: with the exception of the first season, he normally does not lose to teams he's not supposed to lose to. It's a very rare event. I can only think of them losing to South Carolina in '10. When they're in the top 5, they don't lose to any teams higher ranked than 10, 11, 12.
I'll back off my statements of saying we're going to get manhandled because I know we won't allow it -- we do have some proud and refuse to get torched by Bama (except 1/9). But I don't see us getting within 10 points of them this game at the end.
