Really? TBob got thrown on his back in the backfield on all these plays? On 3rd and goal against florida they had every player stacked up on the line. How many people is a center supposed to block? The entire ole miss game? Name one play or show me a video of this cause I see Tbob and Josh blocking downfield probably more than any player on the oline. I can show you multiple videos of this. Show me ONE where Tbob is getting thrown on his back and his player blows up the play. I am sure since this happens all game it should be very easy, I will be waiting

Also our OLine has not been 108th in the nation bad.
sheeeeet, i'm not gonna name names but a couple of our linemen have played far below SEC or BCS OLine play. 108th in the FBS can easily happen when you play in the SEC if your line plays as bad as ours have. I've iso'ed many plays this year with the DVR and it is painfully obvious that at least one of our OLmen isn't physical enough, technically proficient, or is in possession of a playbook. Our better OLmen have suffered from that, and they haven't played as well as they did the last two years. Bad combo when you include that they all look like they could be in better shape.

I guess we know who you are talking about Josh is not responsible for Cirons subpar play this year

Sometimes he was. Please don't tell me you think JD played even decent OL this year? I've seen him do the pee wee football block where you have your elbows out and fists in chest while sorta leaning on a guy. His play was atrocious, but he CAN get better because he is young. I didn't want to say names because I don't really like to bash these guys. I screwed that up.They give more to LSU than I ever have, no matter how poorly I think they played.

No I dont think this. To me he doesn't have the body of an olineman. He is like 6'6" and probably only weighs 250(this is just a guess from last time I saw him). He is really young and hopefully the coaches can help him out. It just pisses me off when someone says somebody on our team is getting thrown on their back every play(Not that you did this). If this was true the coaches would pull the player immediately.

without a substantial improvement from our O-Line. It's got to be tough to call plays when you have to gameplan for T-Bob laying in the backfield

Yep. LSU run blocked well against all the toughest defenses: Florida, Alabama, Ole Miss, etc. The problems were (1) stupid predictable running plays (not the calls, but the plays themselves); (2) absurd bunched up dives up the middle on 3rd and 4th and short; (3) and players stacking the line (because they don't respect LSU's passing game) and coming off the edge to stop the run. This was especially true against Florida. Our line whipped their line up front in the 1st half on running plays, but DBs would continually come in from around the edge to stop plays.
As for T-Bob getting "dominated," anybody who knows shite about playing on the O-line knows that getting pushed around on a play doesn't necessarily ruin the play. It isn't bad as, say, missing your blocking assignment, and on most plays where Hebert got pushed back, it didn't really cause much damage to the play. It's obviously not ideal, but Hebert will get stronger over time, and he's golden on blocking LBs upfield.
The O-line was admittedly absolutely atrocious in the passing game, but so were the RBs, WRs, QBs ... basically everybody--and that's an obvious sign of poor coaching.
An average OC who was smart enough to work around a couple of weaknesses could have easily had this team be around the 4th best offense in the conference.

dead on...Crowton seldom, if ever, moves players around to pull defenders away from the play, or leverages the defense's aggression against them. Of course, this could fall on the QB some, but I'm not sure you expect at soph to do too much, otherwise he'd be easy to bait.
vs. FL, the third down should've been a pass out of the jumbo set, IMO.
