With the freedom to have as many analysts/staff as you want, I would snag Cale Gundy for his recruiting connections in Texas.
Keep him doing something in the background and roll him out to Texas recruits when needed. Dudes got a ton of experience and has a track record of recruiting big names such as Adrian Peterson.

I think if he's going to career rehab, he might know a guy somewhere else in Oklahoma who would be more than open to giving him a position on his staff.

according to ol' coach Pat Jones on Oklahoma radio this morning, there's a lot more to this story. Sounds like the new regime was looking for an excuse to purge a member from the old regime. He also says there are some OU big wigs not happy about this. Trouble brewing in Norman.
I think Cale would make an excellent analysis for us with potential to work toward an on the field role.

He can really burn OU if he reaches out to Texas or Oklahoma State for an assistant/analyst role. He has so many connections across the OU recruiting footprint from over the years.
