In keeping with the POTG theme today, this is the play that really stands out to me.

Burrow avoids rush, throws off of back foot as accurate as he can under the circumstances

Helaire shows excellent hands, snagging the ball awkwardly, then turns up field on the sideline with a defender on his inside between him and the 1st down marker

He stays in bounds, fighting off the tackle, in a straight line to the marker for the 1st down to keep the drive alive

That's been the theme today? I thought it was focus on Ole Miss and stop celebrating the win over Bama

Thats so obviously the play of the game. 100%. End of story.

The last Clyde run will be the one that is the Image of the Game forever but that play....my god.

it was a critical play. Burrow had pressure in his face after finding no one open and passed off to Clyde who made a nice catch and had the determination to get the first down. coaching staff and players were not going to be denied.

Those are the kind of plays we'd give up to Bama in years past

No one can ever know for sure, but that play may have been the difference in the game. It kept Bama at bay when they were in the midst of surging back. Bama had scored 14 straight before that drive to get within 6. LSU's three 2nd half drives before that ended in: fumble, punt, punt and its defense was starting to wilt against the run.

Bama couldn't have gotten more out of their defensive play call on that play. Yet the sheer will of Burrow (to get the ball out under immense pressure) and CEH to run 7 yards through a defender who just had to force him out of bounds was the difference.

I liked his last touchdown run the most. Really just sums up how I felt. I don’t that he’s 5’7” and I don’t care that we’re on a 8-game losing streak against Bama; we just gone truck some bammers and score!! RTWFU!!
