I’ll say this again, if you feel that way you’re an a-hole who can’t see a logical smart decision for what it is.

quote:

t sounds to me like you think if a quarterback is told by a head coach that he has as much a chance of becoming the starter as any other quarterback on the roster, he should leave the program because the coach won't tell him he'll be named the starting QB.

Stop ignoring basic facts.

He was getting to the end of the line.
Don’t transfer if you’re a freshmen and have time.

But yeah you probably shouldn’t risk your career to hang around when a coach can’t make a decision.

Some players think differently and have taken that risk.

I dunno brother. Matt Cassel was never the starter at USC and he made a very nice career for himself in the NFL.

I don't think the difference between LSU and Ohio St was NFL player to insurance adjuster. Talent rises to the top.

You don’t think Matt Cassell’s career would have gone better if he actually played in college?

How many backup QBs make the NFL?

1. And that’s about it.

Burrow will be a Top-5 QB pick if he hits these marks:

1) Burrow will throw 68%+ completions, 70%+ not unlikely
2) Throw for 3500+ yards. 4000+ is not unlikely.
3) He'll have a 5 to 1 or better TD to INT ratio.

why?

you've said stats dont mean you're a great qb.
that is the foundation of your "burrow is better than Haskins" stance.
you said Haskins stats dont make him a better qb yet here you are saying stats will make Burrow a top 5 qb pick.

you dont know enough about the actual playing of football to know you're shitting on your own stance.

You can't claim that I am the only Ohio State fan who believed Burrow was the better QB

THEN

Pretend that a poll of more than 2500 Buckeye fans is insignificant... 59% to 32% in favor of Burrow

It's not impossible.

Cardale Jones also was a backup.

Then in the Spring game, Burrow was 15 of 22 for 68% - And, Haskins was 9 of 19 for 47%

is this where I post last season's stats for Burrow and Haskins and you then say stats dont mean you're a better qb?

Stats matter when they're proving his point.

then burrow shouldve transferred out before spring. why stay through spring practice if you dont want to risk it?

it's not normal for a qb to transfer out in the middle of a straight up head to head battle.
why go through spring practice if Haskins was the one getting playing time in 2017 and not Burrow?

now if he had a feeling he wasnt going to be named the starter and then left then I definitely agree with you that he should leave.

why not transfer out before? the risk was there the entire time.

surely your stance cant be that every graduated qb in a fair and straight up head to head battle should transfer.

Completely different risk that staying till fall.

Burrow has a broken hand in 2017. He probably thought he could do enough in Speing to win it outright and if not he had all summer and fall camp to catch on somewhere else

If they can’t win it in spring then yes.

Absolutely they should. If they can go start at a quality program. Don’t risk it.

Use your fricking brain

It’s definitely not a bad look. It’s the smart move.
