He would not have been able to go back in play if it was really bad
I can't see a NFL team doctor allowing him to go back if it would have needed surgery

It’s incredible that these athletes’ (Burrow and Pinson’s) knees can endure the level of trauma that they do and be relatively fine. Goes to show you how much lifting weights and being active can benefit someone. The leg angle and amount of force being applied that caused Burrow’s sprain would’ve completely destroyed a normal person’s knee

I don’t think he let any medical staff even look at it.

Burrow could’ve broken his leg in half and that man would’ve been out there the next play

He didn't. He literally told them to go f*ck themselves and that he wasn't coming out.

"A sprain is a stretching or tearing of ligaments — the tough bands of fibrous tissue that connect two bones together in your joints. The most common location for a sprain is in your ankle. LINK
I wouldn't be a bit surprised if it is a partial ACL tear.
That falls within the definition of a sprain, and would not require surgery.

Phillip Rivers played on a torn ACL in the AFC Championship game. I'm happy to see he's going to be ok, but if Burrow could walk, he was going to stay in that game

It was that final slam to the ground where his knee twisted that hurt him. That's usually a "roughing the passer" penalty, but nothing was called.
This is correct, but we were at the point of the game where the Rams were going to get the help they needed to secure the win, so no call.
Just like running over a punter is a penalty too, but that was also conveniently overlooked so the Rams could get that final drive going.

you guys are unreal with the cheating thing. Cinn was literally awarded a bogus TD that even gave them a chance. But, for some reason, that doesn't count.

Never said anyone was "cheating". I've watched enough NFL to know this is just part of the sport now. NFL = WWE.

Of course they were. Manufactured drama was needed at the time to get them back in it.
Once LA needed the refs to step up and secure that big win for that fan base (that wasn't even in the top 10 in ratings, BTW) they got the first live ball penalties called in the entire game all go their way on the last drive.
Funny how that happens.....
Both Vegas and the NFL won with the Rams winning by 3.
Should not shock anyone who pays attention that this was the result.

It wouldn’t stand up in a court of law, but the announcers not even mentioning either of these things was all the proof I need that the NFL is managing the games and telling the networks what they can and can’t talk about.
Absurd that we didn’t get a replay of the damn punter being knocked down.
Equally absurd that no live ball penalties were called until the 4th quarter.
The refs are not free actors, neither are the networks or the announcers. It’s all managed.

If the Bengals don't address that god awful OL, the leg could very well be broken in half!
MIRACLE it hasn't happened yet.
I posted on here 2 years ago the same day they drafted him that the remainder of the Draft should be OL's. Didn't happen.
This past draft as well. Didn't happen again.
Not enough OL's being brought in to protect their investment.
You'd think an NFL HC and Front Office would know better. Mystery.

They drafted a OG from Clemson last year in the 2nd round and he barely saw playing time. Hopefully that Center Linderbaum from Iowa who is the highest rated Center in the draft falls to them at 31
