Everyone is so concerned about Alabama getting back in the playoffs. I must admit I don’t want them in it either but this isn’t 2011. The 6-9 game was a fluke. Alabama missed several field goals and we had an offense that wasn’t exactly setting the world on fire.

This year is different. LSU is just better than Alabama. We won’t just try the same thing in the rematch. We have coaches and analysts that can adapt and change just as much or more than Bama. We will beat them by a larger margin if we play them again. Can you imagine how awesome it would be to beat them a second time in one year? That would most assuredly show the would that the dynasty is over. The cracks in the foundation are showing we may just be the ones to bring out the wrecking ball.

Geaux Tigers.

All true but anything can happen playing another good team twice. We already beat them at their house so that should be more than enough.

They cannot stop LSU. We hang at least 55 in a rematch and I doubt they get two more fluke TD’s. However even though they will be ranked #4 tomorrow they will not make the playoffs at the end of the season due to their ridiculous weak schedule.

The point about us being better than Bama misses the real point. Bama has only played one ranked team this year and lost. And that loss came at home. Bama doesn’t deserve to be in the playoffs.

Making threads about us in a possible rematch with them implies they should be in the playoffs.

9-6 was not a fluke; it was defensive domination.

The mulligan was the fluke/farce/disgrace/abomination

I would think almost everyone here agrees that Bama should not get a playoff spot. Goes without saying. But if they do, LSU has an opportunity for what could be a kill shot. If there was ever a team to do it, it the 2019 LSU Tigers.

As it was previously mentioned, this coaching staff is clearly on another level than the 2011 staff. There would be no reason to be anything but fired up if it ends up that we play them a second time.

Normally I would agree with you but I believe we are the better team this year. By far. I truly don't think there is anything bama could do to stop us as w are capable of making adjustments on offense. And i don't think we give up any 75 yard TD's or punt return in a rematch.

No kidding. Beat them twice and tear that dynasty apart.

Someone made a post last week about how many defensive players from 2011 ended up playing in the NFL. It was nearly every starter from both teams. Just insane to think about.

Between Alabama and Clemson, at least one, maybe two undeserving teams are going to get in.

It’ll be up to LSU and OSU to prove they don’t belong.
