Why aren't the rules available for "public dissemination"? Maybe they should be

I still can't get over the "no comment" decision rendered earlier this week. Who do they think they are? The secret service or something?

Maybe the SEC is taking the same stand as it has placed on the coaches .... a gag order, no one can talk, or it will cost ya!

In fact that is exactly what Slive has told Meyer, Kiffin, and Miles recently..shush or miss two games suspension..and be hit with a fat fine.
The SEC HQ and Commish are typical politicians, talking down and insulting the intelligence of the people that pay their salaries, as if they are above you, and have omnipotent powers.
They are arrogantly brazen in throwing the lack of changes over policies, lack of high-def saying it will show-up the refs too much, vagueness over their review and booth policies, etc..in anyone that dislikes such's face.
F@ck the players busting @ss trying to be the best that they can, no, we the SEC, don't want high-def showing up our refs. How can you tell that to HCs and ADs as some form of excuse or response? How f@cking arrogant and myopic in your own lil' megalomaniacal world have you SEC HQ bastards retreated?
It's like some inept defense contractor hidden from public disclosure, making billions for cranking out some junk nomenclatures that are jettisoned by the dept of defense..yet that check via taxpayers keeps rolling in to the bogus contractor.
Rupp and The Bear were dead and buried ages ago..their personal carte blanche carrying the conference's banner long dead, if not their respective school's programs still getting more calls than not..and yet that office in Birmingham's b@llshite shenangians..still rolls on!

There was a man from Thibodaux in the replay booth and he is an LSU fan. Why hasn't anyone brought him up?

To me it's not necessarily last week's game, it's that through history, for being a true heavyweight, LSU has always been the one to get screwed the most by far vs other SEC Heavys.
It cost LSU the 1959 National Title..Cannon in for TD..their two point conversion not..2-for-2 screw LSU.

That about sums it up.
And like spoiled children, The Powers That Be usually don't learn until they get their hands smacked. By the time you get to that level, your entire existence is built on denial.
The headlines and dirt digging has been cool, but I promise you it will not change anything in the SECartel.

An old man told me as a kid, that LSU, due to the heavy Roman-Catholicism percentage of the populace, and also the rowdy Cajuns(that drink heavily) before games..that LSU was down the totem-pole in SEC bias, as most all other SEC states and schools are Baptist or AOG and very WASPy states..La and LSU, with our rich cultural mix, definitely stands out as different..and suffered due to it those earlier eras.
P.S. A friend of mine was a tax attorney, did work for Opryland Hotel,etc..and was told by a guy there, that Johnnie Walker sales sent up to the room privately, and porn rentals..were clearly up when ever there was a southern minister's convention in town.

You think people didn't like LSU because their fans are predominately Catholic?

No, I'm just telling you what a friend of an uncle of mine told me as a youngster. It was his opinion, I wasn't alive when Billy Cannon and the 1959 team were hosed in Knoxville.
But, he also told me of the Bear and Rupp carte blanche, etc..other things that have been seemingly repeated and somewhat verified in books, and by similar opinions of others that lived in that era.
Do you ever notice that AM radio dial's endless amount of similar Baptist/AOG shows when riding in Miss, Ala, Tenn, Ky..whereupon BR and La have maybe one or two Swaggart/Sonlife radio type stations on the entire dial?
La and the majority of SECland..slightly differing demographically..the past thirty years and the rise of the Sunbelt is watering down the once greater differences. Especially since La is the lone negative in-migration state of the bunch, and with Fla and Georgia intaking so many Rustbelters and Eastern Seaboarders over the last few decades.

Link?
And was he an official?
Posted on 11/14/09 at 12:40 am to LSUNO
He is an official, but he wasn't calling the game. Said he was in the replay booth, but didn't decide on the call. Also said the evidence wasn't clear enough to overturn the call. His first name is Lee. I'm trying to get his last name.
Posted on 11/14/09 at 12:45 am to ttowntide
So are you saying a Louisiana native in the booth NOT WORKING could influence the replay call?
Because by that logic, the replay supervisor--with apparent Bamma bias--could easily do the same thing, while OFFICIALLY working.

I never said he wasn't working. You think he just decided to go sit in the replay booth for the hell of it? I said he wasn't the one who made the call on that play. I don't give a shite if you don't believe me, but make sure you know all the facts before you accuse Burleson of anything.
