First game back he looked pretty good. So question... you think he should have gone down inside the 1yd line to burn the clock and then punch it in?

Obvious answer is no, but the way your defense was against the deep routes, it might have been a good idea.

not when you are down. You always tie it up and take your chances. LF7 did the right thing.

Still a head scratcher that your deep safety gets torched.

Why even ask the question?

Not in that scenario. Down 7, 42 seconds left and no timeouts. You have to take the td. If you go down at the 1, you may get 2 runs from the 1, 3 plays if 2 are passes. That pile if you run from the 1 would take forever to unpack with the clock running.

Yep, have to take the points when they're available and not try to get cute.

He came out hot. They should have kept feeding him. The Rams run defense is suspect.

Could have. But the risks outweigh the benefits when a touchdown is needed to tie.

Yeah there was no deep safety. They blitzed a corner and had the safety in man on Kupp.

I mean the bucs D had stepped up handsomely in the second half. Not like they were getting deep route torched the whole quarter.

The D concern is irrelevant until you score.

The "then punch it in" is as certain as a roster with Antonio Brown's name on it.

Yes... even with the likes of Jim "Don't call me Chrissy" Everett... Jake the Snake... Cajun Cannon... John Fourcade(?)... Aaron Brooks and all those missed in between.
