He was always a tweener between TE and Fullback. I give him a lot of credit for sticking around as long as he did. Best of luck to him.

Best of luck for him, he will be a stud TE/ H-Back at a smaller school. This opens up another scholly to count towards the 85 though correct? #processed?

Even for early enrollee/ grad transfer/ JuCo? I knew it was 25 for incoming freshman, I didn’t know 25 allotments a year though. That suckssssss.

I like the rule. It keeps the coaching staff from kicking a player off of the team that they otherwise would not just to make a place for some new blood. If they missed on his evaluation in the beginning that is not his fault. Coach him up, make him a better player.

But if the player transfers, that’s a termination of the scholarship anyways. Idk I have mixed feelings on the rule, cause I see pros and cons on both sides.

There has been no change to the ability of teams to count early entrants towards the previous signing class as long as that class was under 25. The 25 player limit has been in place for many years now.
Mouton transferring does nothing with regard to how many commitments we can take other than helping us get under the 85 total player limit.

Great post and good to see someone who actually gets how the roster works with recruiting. Have yet to see a year where we didn't have to have attrition just to fit the full class in and this one is no different.

I know him personally. Kid had alot of love for LSU coming from where he came from. Talked to him numerous times when he was in Lafayette and I could not tell he was considering leaving. Wish him nothing but the best

I forgot dat dude existed. He suddenly became less important and got buried when we dissolved the FB position and merged it into the H-back role with the tight ends.

Sat next to Carters Dad and his brothers. They get so jacked when he makes a big play. Fun to sit next to.
