#LSU announces Bryce Jordan will forgo his senior season of eligibility. Sounds like that knee still isn’t right.

LSU is now down to the roster maximum.

Damn, that sucks for him. Hope his health improves.

Maybe he can be involved in a trainer role or something.

Thank you Bryce. I'm sorry that your career here didn't end on a high note, but you have much to be proud of.

I will always remember the passion and love that the Jordan brothers brought to LSU.

Too bad for the kid. Can he stay on the team in any capacity?

Beloso hitting well and Willis will probably be next in line at 1B
DiGiocammo will probably get some DH at bats as well and depending on how the 3B spot ends up, those guys could be DH candidates

It was no guarantee he was coming back especially after going through senior day.

Sad to see him go. The perpetually underrated attribute senior leadership and emotional spark will be missed. It was a pleasure to have watched him play for LSU.

Wish nothing but the best from him. He was a great competitor. Hate to see his career end the way it did. He would have gotten lost in the mix of freshmen this year

It's a shame the 35 man roster ends up cutting guys like Reid and making Jordan see the writing on the wall - he wasn't going to play much. That leadership is huge when you get to SEC play and Omaha.

He used up his red shirt year in the season when his knee injury first occurred.

I'll miss Brock more than Beau and Bryce.

Yeah. We are currently at 35 on the roster. There are a couple of non-rostered walk ons participating in fall practice currently. If we lose a pitcher for the year, it's conceivable that one of them could get a roster spot.

Loved the way he and his brother showed up and played every day. Sounds like he was “told” that his knee wasn’t right (to get down to maximum).

Given that there is plenty of time left before that conversation would have to occur, I don't think that's the case. We still don't know the status of some of the pitchers (Beck in particular) and whether or not they will need to use up a roster spot.

Apparently his knee is not recovering as expected after surgery.

Yeah. We are currently at 35 on the roster.

I don't believe there are roster limitations in other sports. Wonder why baseball is th eexception.

Remember how Skip used to rail about the scholarship limits in baseball compared to other sports.
