- LSU (2-1) will host Arkansas (2-1) on Saturday in Baton Rouge...kickoff is set for 6pm. The game will be televised by ESPN.

- LSU leads the overall series again Arkansas 43-23-2.

- Arkansas lost at home to BYU this past weekend, 38-31.

- Jayden Daniels and Malik Nabers were named Co-Offensive Player of the Week for their performance against Mississippi State... LINK

- Kelly said team did a great job rising to the occasion against Miss State...had fast start, attention to detail and finished strong. Kelly hopes team builds on that performance and shows consistency moving forward.

- Daniels had great presence in the pocket and was hit a bunch after the throw...

- Defensive rose to the occasion...pressured QB, held Miss State to under 100 yards rushing.

- Arkansas will be tough physical game...rivalry game (Battle for the Boot).

- Omar Speights, Ovie Oghoufo, Mason Taylor all probable for Arkansas.

- Greg Brooks out for Arkansas...dealing with medical emergency.

- Greg Penn was been outstanding at LB...needs to be on the field.

- Daniels has shown incredible development at QB since he came to LSU.

- Maason Smith starting to impact game a little more and more as he gets back into the groove following his injury.

- On going for it on 4th down: using combination of analytics and sense of the game to make the call.

- On playing more and more freshman earlier in the careers: not afraid to play freshman, but will always play the best player, regardless of age.

- Kaleb Jackson is physical, explosive, and still learning the game...wasn't a four year player in high school and is fun to coach.

- Sai'vion Jones moving better on the field...put on a lot of good weight in off season.

- "We're looking for gentlemen off the field, NOT on the field."

- Running out of shotgun on short yardage situations: says LSU uses shotgun more versus direct snap because Dsniels practices more overall in shotgun.

- On Harold Perkins...played with energy and with some edge, and he brought it against Miss State.

- On Will Campbell: false start on goal line was not Will's fault...center didn't snap on time. Holding call on Will was debatable. Kelly just upset that Will retaliated against State player's (threw helmet)...but Kelly not concerned with Will at all.

- On Whit Weeks: he has elite speed at the position...very athletic...jumps gaps on run plays and not lost in pass coverage.

Did he say anything about yanking Campbell?

Really enjoyed Kelly's comment about Daniels multidimensional skillset helping him in his decisions to go for it on 4th downs.

Said he had a problem with him throwing another players helmet. It’s the first time he’s had to talk to him about something like that, he’s not worried about it going forward.

He basically said it’s not worth the time to practice it with Jayden, so don’t expect to see it happen anytime soon unless Nuss is in the game.
